Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi are off to a fantastic start! The Super Mario Bros. Movie earned an amazing $68 million on its opening day, and it’s expected to bring in even more money this weekend. The movie is also boosting toy sales, especially the new “Hatching Yoshi” from Spin Master. You can watch the characters hatch their own Yoshi eggs and learn how to get one for yourself!
Spin Master’s new Hatching’ Yoshi toys recently got a fun test run with Brie Larson and Charlie Day, stars of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. In a video showcasing the toys, Larson’s Yoshi hatched first and quickly started ‘talking.’ Day’s Yoshi took a bit longer, but once hatched, both toys interacted with each other, and Larson playfully shared the video with a cute laugh.
What Is A Hatchin’ Yoshi, and How Do You Get One?

Following the success of the Primal Hatch Jurassic World Hatching Dinosaur Egg – which let a baby T-Rex hatch from its egg with lights and sounds – Spin Master has released a new version featuring Yoshi. This new Yoshi Hatch is even cuter than the original!
The Hatchin’ Yoshi toy comes in a white and green spotted egg. When you play with it, the egg will start to wiggle on its own. Eventually, it cracks open, and a Yoshi figure pops out, saying his signature “Yoshi!” Plus, you can use the bottom half of the egg as a stand to display your Yoshi.
After Yoshi hatches, he becomes even more interactive! You can gently touch his nose and head, and he’ll respond. His eyes light up when he’s ready to play, and he’ll playfully shake his head as you interact with him. You can also press down on his shell, speak to Yoshi, and he’ll respond in kind. Eventually, he’ll end the conversation with a sweet “awww” before going to sleep.
