I’m so excited! They just announced that Super Meat Boy 3D is coming out on March 31st for PC and Xbox Series X/S! I saw the trailer during the Xbox Partner Preview 2026, and it was wild. It’s a short one, less than a minute long, and shows gameplay mixed with a guy totally losing it as his character dies over and over again. It looks incredibly challenging – and awesome!
The trailer mainly highlights the many ways players can meet their end while navigating the game’s 3D levels. As seen in the first trailer, Super Meat Boy 3D keeps the fast-paced, challenging gameplay that made the original Super Meat Boy so popular when it launched in 2010.
The new trailer showcased the game’s 3D gameplay, highlighting how it feels fresh and different while still staying true to the original Super Meat Boy experience. A key feature returning is the post-level screen, which lets players review all their attempts – even the failed ones with Meat Boy’s unfortunate demise – before finally seeing a successful run.
Sluggerfly is creating Super Meat Boy 3D with help from the original Team Meat. Headup and GCORES Publishing will handle the game’s release.
