As a die-hard fan of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve got a fresh update! Version 13.0.4 is here, and while it doesn’t introduce any new content, it does address an ongoing concern – the Mii Fighter issue – that players have been grappling with since the launch of Nintendo Switch 2.
With the latest software version for our game and the system update for Nintendo Switch 2 rolled out earlier this month, it appears that all Mii Fighter-related troubleshooting in the game is now complete. This development is sure to bring a smile to the faces of those who enjoy customizing their fighters!
For a comprehensive rundown of the changes in this update, be sure to check out the official patch notes from Nintendo’s website, listed below:

Ever since the debut of Nintendo Switch 2, I’ve been thrilled to see them consistently enhancing their own games, along with third-party titles designed for the original Switch. These enhancements range from utilizing the upgraded hardware features to resolving technical glitches like the one recently addressed in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As a Switch 2 owner, I’m excitedly anticipating even more updates in the near future!
It’s beneficial that Nintendo is still making adjustments to the game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as it’s currently the only fighting game in the series available on the Switch 2. At this point, the future of the series remains uncertain, as Nintendo hasn’t yet revealed a new installment. Director Masahiro Sakurai is presently working on Kirby Air Riders, scheduled for release later in the year, so we’re all on edge to learn whether a new game specifically for Switch 2 will be announced or if Nintendo intends to deliver a substantial content update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, similar to what we’ve seen with games like Super Mario Party Jamboree.
So far, Nintendo hasn’t shared much about its 2026 strategies. They’ve scheduled numerous Switch 2 games for release before the end of 2025, with one game expected each month until then. Fans were anticipating a Nintendo Direct in June to reveal plans for the first half of 2026, but as of now, no such announcement has been made. Everyone is excited to see what the new system holds in store for next year, particularly updates on franchises like Super Smash Bros., and potential Switch 2 versions of current games. Here’s hoping Nintendo will have some exciting reveals in the upcoming weeks.
