A new Supergirl trailer is coming very, very soon.
The new Supergirl movie, from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures, will hit US theaters and IMAX in June. Craig Gillespie directs, with Milly Alcock returning as Kara Zor-El. Fans will remember her brief appearance in James Gunn’s Superman film, which came out in 2025.
DC recently shared a brief clip from the upcoming Supergirl series featuring David Corenswet as Superman. In the video, Superman sends a message to his cousin, Supergirl, wondering when she plans to return to Earth. However, Supergirl appears busy and isn’t responding to his message.

When is the new Supergirl trailer being released?
The new Supergirl trailer will be released online tomorrow — Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
The movie follows Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) as she teams up with a surprising ally to seek revenge and deliver justice when a dangerous enemy attacks those she cares about. Their quest takes them on an incredible adventure across the stars.
Alongside the main cast, Supergirl features Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, Jason Momoa as Lobo, and Ferdinand Kingsley as Elias Knoll.
The upcoming Supergirl movie is inspired by the comic book series ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,’ originally published in 2021 and 2022 by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. Ana Nogueira wrote the screenplay, and James Gunn and Peter Safran are producing the film. Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther are executive producers.
Supergirl will debut on June 26, 2026. You can currently watch Superman on HBO Max, and after Supergirl, the next DC Universe project will be Lanterns, coming this August. Clayface is also planned for release in October.
