2025’s “Superman” movie showcased a mural in the Hall of Justice, which revealed the presence of 26 significant super-powered characters (metahumans) within the DC Universe. This lineup was pulled from a lesser-known selection of DC Comics characters. The film, directed by James Gunn, included numerous thrilling Easter eggs, and its opening credits sequence might have been the most impressive to date, as it hinted that metahumans have been around for an astonishing 300 years.
In essence, this implies that there are yet-to-be-discovered superheroes and villains hidden within the rich history of the DC Universe, some of whom have already made brief appearances – as hinted by a mural in the background during Lois Lane and the Justice Gang’s discussion, located inside the Hall of Justice.
Even as Superman continues to captivate audiences in cinemas, DC Studios’ co-CEO and director, James Gunn, offered a detailed look at the Hall of Justice mural that has sparked intense discussions among dedicated DC fans for over a week.
Moving from left to the right, the figures you notice are Sister Symmetry, Silent Knight, Exoristos, and Black Pirate.

The following individuals also make an appearance: Miss Liberty, Max Mercury transformed into Whip Wirlwind, Lazarus Lane accompanied by his steed, Lucifer, and Chop-Chop.

The mural showcases additional metahumans including the Spirit of Flanders, Dream (Wesley Dodds), the Marvelous One (Will Everett), and Zatara, who is also known as Zatanna’s father.
The mural depicts more superhumans, namely, the Phantom of Flanders, Sandman (Wesley Dodds), Amazing Man (Will Everett), and the father of Zatanna, who is called Zatara.

Adding to the roster of metahumans we find: Liberty Belle (Libby Lawrence), Bulletman, Bulletgirl, and Max Mercury (Maxwell Candrall). In simpler terms, these are the new additions to our list of extraordinary individuals.

A greater number of depicted metahumans in the mural include TNT, Dan Dynamite, Phantom Woman, Atomic Guardian, and Beast of Freedom.

The last group encompasses characters such as Wildcat, Vibe, Gunfire, and Maxwell Lord (it remains unclear whether he possesses metahuman abilities or if he included his likeness due to being the proprietor of the Justice League).
