Some new Superman artwork displays what David Corenswet’s suit looks like without the red trunks.
Last month, the DCU film titled Superman, helmed by director James Gunn, premiered in American cinemas. In this production, Corenswet assumes the role of the main character Superman, Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult portrays Lex Luthor.
What does David Corenswet’s Superman suit look like without trunks?
On Instagram, Maybelle Pineda, a talented graphic/surface designer, offers sneak peeks of her surface design work on Superman’s costume. In one image, you can see a striking, all-blue, and trunkless adaptation of Corenswet’s suit.

In the planning stages for Superman, Gunn expressed his doubt over whether or not to include trunks on Kal-El’s costume. He even discussed this issue with director Zack Snyder of Man of Steel, but it was eventually Corenswet who convinced him that Superman should wear them.
The upcoming movie, ‘Superman’ produced by DC Studios, will be their debut feature film to premiere in cinemas this summer. Warner Bros. Pictures is distributing it worldwide. Director James Gunn brings a unique perspective to the original superhero, combining action, humor, and emotion in the revamped DC universe. The Superman portrayed in this story is guided by compassion and faith in humanity’s goodness.
The ensemble also features Edi Gathegi playing Michael Holt/Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan portraying Rex Mason/Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion taking on the role of Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and María Gabriela de Faría in the role of Angela Spica/The Engineer.
