Good news for fans of the ‘Isekai’ genre! A new special episode has just dropped on Crunchyroll, and a second season of the series is officially confirmed and in production. With many new anime coming this April, Crunchyroll will have plenty for ‘Isekai’ enthusiasts to enjoy – and you can start watching the special right away!
The anime series based on Rein Kuwashima’s I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too first aired in 2023. Now, a new special episode has unexpectedly appeared on Crunchyroll, and it’s available to watch. Along with this special, a second season of the anime has been officially confirmed. You can find a teaser trailer and poster for Season 2 below.
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World Season 2 Announced
A second season of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too is confirmed! However, details are scarce – we don’t know when it will be released or if it will be available internationally. This means fans might have a long wait. The good news is a new special episode is coming out soon to help tide everyone over until the new season arrives.
The new TV special for I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too is now available on Crunchyroll, along with the show’s first season. The special was made by the same team that worked on the first season, including director Shin Itagaki, character designer Hiromi Kimura, and UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS, who oversaw the project. The voice actors from the first season also reprise their roles in the special, and this same team is likely to work on a potential second season as well.
Is I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World Any Good?

Lots of anime series featuring characters transported to another world (known as Isekai) are competing for viewers, especially with several popular franchises releasing new seasons. Because of this crowded field, some shows, like the first season of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too, don’t get the attention they deserve. Hopefully, the second season will have more success.
While the story’s premise of a character gaining power isn’t entirely new, the way it’s handled is. Instead of being stuck in a fantasy world, the main character can move back and forth between it and their everyday life, using their newfound abilities to improve things in the present. It’s been fascinating to watch the story unfold.
