The popular horror game, released in 2023, is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store as of December 21st. PC gamers can download it for free for the next 24 hours. If you don’t already have one, creating an Epic Games Store account is free and only requires an email address.
From now until December 22nd, Epic Games Store users can get a free copy of Sorry We’re Closed, a survival-horror game that blends exploration with fast-paced shooting. It’s been very well-received, earning a score of 83 on Metacritic. Players on Steam love it even more, giving it an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating – the highest possible rating on the platform. This rating comes from 98% of its 1,376 user reviews being positive.
About the Game
The game Sorry We’re Closed came out on November 14, 2024, and is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It was developed by A La Mode Games and published by Akupara Games.
The new free game on the Epic Games Store, Sorry We’re Closed, blends classic survival horror with a fresh take on fighting. It features immersive environments, fixed camera angles, and fast-paced, arcade-style first-person shooting. Players collect items and manage resources to help the character Michelle survive, and those who prefer a traditional feel can use optional tank controls.
If you download Sorry We’re Closed from the Epic Games Store, you can expect to finish the game in around 7 to 9 hours. Players who aim to complete everything will likely spend 12 to 13 hours playing. This is a typical length for a survival-horror game, which are generally shorter than other game genres.
We don’t know what the next free game on the Epic Games Store will be. Like all the free games during the holidays, it’s currently listed as a surprise. It will be released tomorrow, December 22nd, and you’ll be able to claim it for free until December 23rd.
