Hotel Barcelona, a joint project by Swery65 (Deadly Premonition) and Suda51 (Killer7, No More Heroes), is set to debut on PlayStation 5 on September 26th, 2025. The digital version will be accessible on the PlayStation Store, with a physical edition also planned at a cost of £24.99 / $29.99. Pre-orders for the boxed copy are currently open.

For anyone not in the know, Hotel Barcelona is a 2.5D Metroidvania style game, where you explore a hotel transformed into a gruesome slaughterhouse by America’s most heinous serial killers. When new U.S. Marshal Justine gets stranded near the property, she’s drawn into a horrifying world and finds herself compelled to release the inner beast that resides within her – Dr. Carnival.
In this game, you have the option to play either solo or with up to three friends online, all collaborating to cleanse a hotel infested with serial killers modeled after horror characters from the VHS era. Upon your character’s demise, the corpse serves as an aid for future attempts, and you progress by gaining “strength” through rogue-lite gameplay mechanics.
