Sydney Sweeney Wears Shrek-Themed Lingerie in Thanksgiving Celebration

Sydney Sweeney brought the fire to her dragon costume.

Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in Anyone But You, celebrated Friendsgiving with family and friends in the Florida Keys. She dressed up as Dragon from Shrek, sporting a revealing lingerie outfit inspired by the character.

For an Instagram post on November 30th, Sydney wore a striking red leotard with a low-cut front, featuring scale-like details, a pointed tail, and wings. She completed the look with matching gloves, a horned headband, and metallic over-the-knee socks paired with black heels.

Several guests came to the party dressed as characters from Shrek, including Shrek, Princess Fiona, Lord Farquaad, and Donkey. Sydney took multiple photos with the person in the Donkey costume—which completely covered their face—which is fitting since her character, Dragon, is married to Donkey in the Shrek movies.

Her Friendsgiving wasn’t just one party – it was a whole weekend of fun! The 28-year-old hosted a costume party, but there was also karaoke, a late-night visit to Disneyworld, a spelling bee, bike rides, and lots more.

I’ve been following Sydney’s life for a while now, and it’s been interesting to see what’s been happening with her relationships. While she was recently seen getting cozy with Scooter Braun right before Thanksgiving, she’s actually stated she’s still single. It’s tough because she and Jonathan Davino ended their engagement earlier this year after being together for seven years, and it seems like she’s taking things slow before jumping into anything new.

In a recent interview with GQ, Sydney shared that she’s not currently focused on finding a partner. She explained that she’s discovered the importance of her close friendships and feels confident and self-sufficient, knowing she’ll be alright on her own.

But that doesn’t mean that the Euphoria star isn’t open to meeting someone she’s serious about.

She said that if she’s meant to find love, she will. She considers herself a true romantic and hopes to find a lifelong partner, but she’s not someone who actively seeks it out by going out constantly.

Sydney finished by saying, “You won’t see me jumping around a lot of places.”

In a 2022 interview with Cosmopolitan, Sydney shared that she avoids dating people who are famous. She prefers to date people outside of the entertainment industry—actors, musicians, and other public figures—because it allows her to be herself and keep things simple.

Sydney says she wants a partner who feels like a best friend – someone she can spend all her time with, enjoy being around constantly, and share a lot of laughs with every day.

The actress from The White Lotus and her fiancé attended the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, continuing their string of stylish outings.

The adorable couple, dressed in coordinating black outfits, made an appearance at a film festival in Venice, Italy, looking very much in love.

 

Back in New York City, the twosome were spotted walking Sydney’s dog Tank.

The couple, known for making the films Anyone But You and Immaculate, were seen holding hands after enjoying a romantic dinner in Paris.

Sydney shared with Glamour UK in 2023 that working with a romantic partner is wonderful because they truly understand and encourage your ideas and perspective.

Sydney and her partner were back at the Venice Film Festival in 2024. She had previously told Entertainment Tonight that wedding plans were on hold because she was very busy with work.

During a rare outing in winter 2025, the couple partook in a cheeky snowball fight in New York. 

News sources reported in March 2025 that Sydney and Jonathan ended their seven-year relationship and canceled their engagement.

Shortly before news of their split became public, Sydney was seen at a wedding with Glen Powell – the actor she was first romantically linked to during promotion for their 2023 movie, Anyone But You. However, Glen’s mother, Cyndy Powell, quickly dismissed the rumors, telling the Daily Mail in 2025 that Sydney is just a family friend.
