Bandai Namco is continuing its trend of re-releasing classic games, and their latest pick from the Tales series is a bit of a surprise: Tales of Berseria Remastered. It will be available on February 27th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can watch the reveal trailer below to see how the graphics have been updated.
Tales of Berseria Remastered will be available for $39.99, including a Super Adventuring Assistance Set. A Deluxe Edition will also launch for $59.99, and it comes with extra content like a Battle Background Music Pack, a set of Super Growth Support Herbs, a digital art book, and a digital soundtrack.
This remaster adds the quality-of-life improvements players have seen in similar updated games. That includes things like waypoints to help you navigate, the ability to skip battles, and immediate access to the in-game store. Plus, it comes with all the previously released downloadable content.
The announcement has received a bit of a mixed response. While Tales of Berseria, released in 2016, still plays well today, Tales of Xillia 2 is still only available on PlayStation 3, leaving Xbox and Switch players out.
Maybe 2027 will be its year. Or maybe we’ll finally see the next mainline Tales.
