Bandai Namco announced that Tales of Berseria is the next classic Tales RPG they’re updating for modern platforms.
Tales of Berseria Remastered is coming to PS5 on February 27, 2026, and will cost £34.99 or $39.99. Check out the announcement trailer above! This updated version boasts improved graphics and smoother gameplay, running at 4K resolution with 60 frames per second on PS5.
This remaster isn’t just a visual update – it’s a fresh, high-quality take on the original game. It also includes helpful improvements like map markers, the ability to turn enemy encounters on or off, and early access to the shop. Plus, you get all the bonus content that came with the original release, like costumes and useful items, to fully enjoy the game.

Here’s the setup from the developer:
Embark on a newly remastered journey to find yourself. A legendary kingdom needs a hero, and Velvet, a woman betrayed and scarred, is destined to answer the call. Join Velvet and her unusual allies as they travel across the islands of Midgand, seeking revenge and a new beginning.
You can now pre-order the Standard and Deluxe Editions on the PS Store. The Deluxe Edition costs an additional £15 / $20 and includes extra music, a digital artbook, and a special item called the Super Growth Support Herb Set.
Just weeks after releasing the updated version of Tales of Xillia, Bandai Namco has announced they’re also remastering the sequel. This continues their trend of bringing classic Tales games to modern consoles – they’ve already updated Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Graces F, and Tales of Vesperia for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
When Tales of Berseria was first released on PS4 in January 2017, we gave it a score of 8 out of 10, praising its mature and darker storyline, compelling characters, and calling it one of the best entries in the Tales series in years.
