According to data from FlixPatrol, the movie She Rides Shotgun is currently a top 10 hit on Prime Video in 22 countries. It’s performing especially well in Romania, where it’s the second most popular movie on the platform. In the U.S., you can find it ranked eighth on MGM+.
In the action film She Rides Shotgun, Taron Egerton plays Nate McClusky, a man just released from prison who finds himself a target. He’s forced to protect his 11-year-old daughter, Polly Huff (played by Ana Sohia Heger), and teach her how to survive a dangerous situation. Along the way, Nate discovers unexpected lessons from Polly herself.
Released briefly in August, the film She Rides Shotgun didn’t perform well in theaters. Despite this, critics generally liked it. Review aggregator sites describe the movie as a tense and emotionally impactful thriller, praising the strong performances from Taron Egerton and Ana Sophia Heger.
Although Egerton’s acting was well-received, Heger truly stood out. A review in the Los Angeles Times of She Rides Shotgun highlighted Heger, age 11, stating they played a difficult role with complete confidence.
Vulture’s review agreed, highlighting how the story centers on a frightened young girl’s transformation into a resilient and ultimately heartbreaking figure throughout her extraordinary adventure. The film’s power, the review noted, comes from powerfully portraying her fear, happiness, anger, and eventual pain, making She Rides Shotgun a truly memorable experience.
Viewers are really enjoying She Rides Shotgun. It currently has a 91% positive rating on the Popcornmeter, likely because many people are finding it on streaming services.

Nick Rowland directed the film She Rides Shotgun, based on a screenplay by Jordan Harper, Ben Collins, and Luke Piotrowski. The movie is adapted from Harper’s novel of the same name and features Taron Egerton, Ana Sophia Heger, Rob Yang, Odessa A’zion, David Lyons, and John Carroll Lynch.
Egerton had been attached to star in She Rides Shotgun since 2023. Filming took place in early 2024. .
