In a new twist, the architect behind Mare of Easttown, Brad Ingelsby, is returning to HBO (broadcasted by Sky and NOW in the UK) with another gripping crime series. This time, it features Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey as its leading stars.
The role finds our protagonist, formerly a priest but now employed by the FBI, following in the footsteps of Ruffalo’s character Tom. He has been given the responsibility to head a special task force, tasked with investigating a series of brutal heists.
Robbie Pelphrey, a family man who works as a garbage collector, finds himself in the midst of committing robberies due to financial struggles following his wife’s departure, leaving him responsible for raising their children.
As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Tom and Robbie are playing a high-stakes chase where things rapidly spiral out of control for Robbie.
In the events that transpire, we witness Tom and Robbie engaged in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse, with Robbie finding himself deeply entangled and in way over his depth.
