Get ready for more laughs! Taskmaster is coming back to Channel 4 for its 21st season, with Greg Davies and Alex Horne returning as host and assistant.
Great news! The new season of Taskmaster, season 21, starts this Thursday, April 9th, at 9pm.
After airing in the UK, new episodes will become available on YouTube in the US right away, letting American fans enjoy the show’s hilarious comedy without the wait.
The lineup for season 21 includes Kumail Nanjiani, known for his roles in Silicon Valley and Eternals, and Armando Iannucci, the creator of shows like The Thick of It and The Day Today. The cast was announced earlier this year.
Joining the cast are Joanna Page, known for her role in Gavin & Stacey, comedian Amy Gledhill from Last One Laughing, and Joel Dommett, the host of The Masked Singer.

Horne hinted at a surprising development for season 21 in a recent interview with TopMob, and fans might be in for a big shock.
There’s a funny scene with Kumail Nanjiani where he reveals quite a bit about his private routine when he’s alone in his hotel room. You’ll have to watch to find out what it is!
He unexpectedly opened up, and I happened to be right there with him. It was a truly unique and unforgettable moment on Taskmaster – something we’d never seen before.
Horne also mentioned plans to make some minor changes to the show’s format in the not-too-distant future.
When questioned about the show’s potential direction, Horne shared with TopMob that viewers have suggested a ‘Champion of Champions’ competition within the existing format.
We’re planning something new and interesting soon – it’s a slightly different take on what we usually do. We can’t share details just yet, but we have a project in the works that we’re excited about.
Consider us intrigued!
The new series of Taskmaster starts on Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday, April 9th. You can also catch up on older episodes on Channel 4’s on-demand service.
