There’s no rose without its thorns.
Despite a domestic dispute with her ex, Dakota Mortensen, earlier this year, Taylor Frankie Paul is looking forward to starting her journey as the next Bachelorette.
Taylor Swift told Lara Spencer on GMA that she’s always honest and open, and that’s how people know her. She explained that while she will address things when the time is right, her priority right now is being present and focusing on her children.
Taylor, who has a 23-year-old son named Ever with Dakota and two children with her ex-husband, Tate Paul, shared that it’s been a difficult time. She explained it’s been challenging to balance dealing with current issues at home and the attention from the media, and admitted it’s been stressful.
Just two days after news broke that filming for season five of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was temporarily halted, 31-year-old Taylor made a public appearance. The pause came following an incident with her ex-partner—the father of her 23-month-old son, Ever—which the Draper City Police Department confirmed on March 16 is being investigated as a domestic assault.
Taylor, who is an executive producer on the show, explained that she isn’t involved in the day-to-day decisions about filming. She’s heard production has been temporarily stopped, but she doesn’t know when it will resume.

Before appearing on Good Morning America, Taylor spoke about how she felt regarding the situation.
Taylor shared with People magazine on March 17th that she was really struggling emotionally. She explained that the timing of everything was particularly difficult, and it felt like a significant challenge. She admitted that she’s never truly enjoyed a premiere, and this one was no different, saying it took a lot of effort just to be present.
Things are really tough right now, and it’s upsetting,” the social media personality explained. “I’m definitely having a hard time, but I also feel like I need to keep going. If I don’t, I’ll miss out on opportunities we’ve earned and won’t get to enjoy the exciting things we’ve been building.
Even though she found it difficult to attend press events recently, Taylor Swift explained to People magazine that she felt it was important to be there.

According to two sources, filming for Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was temporarily stopped after a recent incident. Someone involved with the show said the break is expected to last between two and three weeks.
According to a source, Dakota’s main focus is ensuring his daughter Ever is safe and happy. He also hopes to have a positive co-parenting relationship with Taylor.
According to a source familiar with the situation, Taylor Swift is motivated by a desire to shield her son, Ever, from negative press surrounding his father and to ensure he maintains a positive view of him. The source also stated that Swift acknowledges her own past errors.
TopMob News has contacted representatives for both Dakota and Taylor regarding the claims, but they haven’t yet responded.
