Taylor shared on Instagram February 18th that going through mental health challenges has helped her recognize similar struggles in others. She noted that people are often understanding when someone doesn’t respond right away, because they’re prioritizing checking in on each other and ‘getting it’.
She added that it’s important to remember the person reaching out might actually be the one struggling, something she realized over time. She often questions why she shares her own experiences, but reminds herself that even if it helps just a few people feel less lonely, it’s worthwhile.
Taylor paired her heartfelt message with a video showing some difficult moments she’s been through recently. The video, set to Lauren Daigle’s song “Rescue,” included a selfie she took while upset. Although she tried to smile and give a thumbs-up, it was clear from her smudged eyeliner that she had been crying.

The photos also showed her cluttered closet, bedroom, and kitchen, along with encouraging notes from her children and screenshots of messages from friends and family who were reaching out to see how she was doing.
