One man is hoping everything might still come up roses.
Even though Taylor Frankie Paul didn’t find love on The Bachelorette, one of her potential suitors from that canceled season, Brandon Perce, started pursuing Jessi Draper, who also stars on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
In a March 31st Instagram post, he messaged Jessi from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, letting her know a friend of his is interested in her now that she’s single. He described the friend as a father who enjoys working out and has tattoos, and mentioned he has a job, doesn’t play golf, and knows someone Jessi is friends with.
All characteristics, it turns out, that happen to describe Brandon himself.
Brandon asked his Instagram followers to support his attempt to reach Jessi, who is going through a divorce from her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, after he filed in March. He encouraged them to “do what you do” to help, adding “Let’s make it happen,” and playfully captioned his post, “Asking for a friend…” while tagging Jessi.
As expected, social media quickly connected them. Jessi simply wrote “Hi” in the comments, and Brandon responded, “Oh hey! I think my friend messaged you.”
Following the cancellation of Taylor’s season premiere due to domestic violence allegations involving her and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, one of the contestants spoke out about how the others were feeling.
The contestant admitted to being very angry in a recent interview with TopMob News. He explained that everyone involved made significant sacrifices to participate, entered the experience with good intentions, and consistently showed kindness and respect, even offering a second chance to the person they were pursuing.

The cast member also mentioned that Taylor frequently spoke about both her current partner, Dakota, with whom she has a two-year-old son, and her former husband, Tate Paul, and their two children, while they were filming.
He explained that they had given her several chances and genuinely believed she had changed. Looking back, he feels that her behavior and how she treated everyone was ultimately unproductive and a drain on their emotional resources.
As for the video itself, the cast member said he was growing “emotional just thinking about it.”
It’s been really tough watching all of this unfold, honestly. But more than anything, I just keep hoping she can get the support she desperately needs. I truly pray she finds the help she deserves.

Doug Mason, a contestant who many viewers thought might end up with Taylor, publicly wished her all the best.
In a recent Instagram Story post from March 20th, he expressed his support for Taylor, saying he was sending her prayers. He explained that something had prevented her from having her moment to shine, and he felt for her.
The 28-year-old also asked fans to be kind.
He said they could only remain hopeful at the moment. He wished everyone a great day, encouraging them to stay positive and support those who are struggling. He ended with a cheerful send-off.
Taylor commented on a video that was reposted by a fan account, saying she felt bad for the person in it and thought it was very sweet.
