Taylor Frankie Paul’s Bachelorette Season Canceled After Fight Video

Taylor Frankie Paul‘s journey of finding love has come to an abrupt end.

A video showing a fight between “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, from last year has come to light. Because of this, ABC has announced that Taylor’s season of “The Bachelorette” will no longer air on March 22nd.

Disney Entertainment has decided to postpone the upcoming season of The Bachelorette following the release of a new video. A Disney spokesperson stated their priority is now supporting the affected family.

The news follows the release of a video obtained by TMZ showing Taylor physically assaulting her boyfriend—the father of her 2-year-old son, Ever—during a fight.

After the video was released, a representative for Taylor issued a statement to TopMob News calling it part of a harmful effort to damage Taylor’s reputation. They said the video selectively presented information and was a dishonest attempt to shift attention away from the actions of the person who released it. (TMZ didn’t say where they got the video from.)

TopMob News reached out to Dakota’s rep for comment regarding the video and has not yet heard back.

Following an incident in 2023, Taylor—who shares two children with her ex-partner, Tate Paul—faced several charges, according to court records from the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s office, as reported by TopMob News. These charges included aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence with injury in front of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief.

In August, the 31-year-old woman admitted guilt to aggravated assault, as reported by ABC4 Utah, and other charges against her were dropped.

This footage appears shortly after news broke that filming for season five of Secret Wives of Mormon Wives was stopped. This halt came because of an investigation into a recent argument between Taylor and Dakota that reportedly happened in February.

Police in Draper City, Utah, have confirmed they are investigating, and have stated that accusations have been made by both sides involved.

Soon after, the 31-year-old spoke about the show being put on hold and what happened after the accusations came out.

Honestly, it’s been so tough watching everything unfold, especially right now. I was reading an interview with her in People magazine, and she said the timing of it all is just really difficult. She’s always struggled to enjoy The Bachelorette premieres, and this one feels especially hard. She really had to push herself to even be there that day, and you could just feel her pain.

She told People magazine on March 17th that it was incredibly painful to go through this, especially now. She explained that the timing was difficult and it felt like a significant challenge, adding that she’s never fully enjoyed the premieres of The Bachelorette and this time was no different. She admitted it was extremely hard and took a lot of effort just to be present that day.

Dakota’s spokesperson responded to recent claims of a disagreement with her ex, saying she’s focused on successfully co-parenting.

Honestly, everything he does revolves around Ever, his little boy, and protecting him. I read his rep’s statement in Entertainment Weekly, and it just… it all makes sense. He knew something might come out, but he wouldn’t say anything himself. Why? Because he still wants to be a good father and have some kind of relationship with Taylor, even after everything. It’s heartbreaking, really. He was trying to protect his son and salvage something with Taylor, and it’s just… ugh. I feel so bad for everyone involved, but mostly for Ever.
