Taylor Sheridan‘s latest series is already making waves on streaming platforms and is considered by many to be his best work yet. While he’s famous for action-packed shows like Yellowstone, Tulsa King, Landman, and Special Ops, this new series is a more thoughtful and emotional story focusing on loss, family relationships, and the journey toward recovery.
Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell lead this captivating new series, The Madison, which premiered on Paramount+ on March 14th. The show follows the Clyburn family as they navigate a heartbreaking loss and a major life change, moving from the busy streets of New York City to the remote wilderness of Montana. It’s a fresh direction for creator Taylor Sheridan, and the first three episodes have been remarkably well-received.
‘The Madison’ Is Not a ‘Yellowstone’ Spin-off
I’ve been keeping a close eye on the streaming numbers, and The Madison is really making waves on Paramount+. It’s quickly become one of their biggest hits, currently ranking as the third most popular series in the US, according to Flix Patrol. It’s trailing behind Taylor Sheridan’s Marshals, which is the first of two Yellowstone spin-offs we’re getting this year – the other being Dutton Ranch.
Viewers are loving the new family drama, which is completely different from anything Taylor Sheridan has done before. Called The Madison, it’s a strong series that unfolds beautifully and features a fantastic cast who deliver outstanding performances.
Michelle Pfeiffer is captivating when she returns to television, effortlessly dominating every scene. While Russell is consistently good, The Madison truly focuses on the connection between three generations of women. The supporting cast – Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, and Alaina Pollack – each contribute unique performances that make the show more than just a typical family drama.
‘The Madison’ Season 2 Has Already Been Filmed

Paramount+
Unlike Taylor Sheridan’s other shows, which release episodes weekly, The Madison’s is different. All three of the first episodes became available on March 14th, and the final three will be released on March 21st. This is Sheridan’s shortest series yet, and while some viewers might wish it were longer, this six-episode family drama still delivers a lot in its first season.

Good news for fans of The Madison – it’s been renewed for a second season! Filming finished in December 2025 after starting in September, and the show is now being edited and prepared for release. While we don’t have a specific date yet, Season 2 will eventually be available on Paramount+.
I’m really hooked on The Madison and can’t wait to see how the story unfolds! You can catch the first three episodes right now on Paramount+, and the final three are dropping this Saturday, March 21st. Definitely worth checking out!
