Taylor Swift, Dad Scott Swift Support Travis Kelce at Chiefs Game

Taylor Swift has pledged allegiance to Travis Kelce’s team and vibes.

Taylor Swift brought her father, Scott Swift, to the Kansas City Chiefs game on October 19th to support her and cheer on the team against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Despite keeping to themselves during the game, Taylor and Scott watched the Chiefs dominate the Raiders with a 31-0 win from a VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium, according to social media posts.

Scott has attended Chiefs games with Taylor before, and will likely continue to do so. Their relationship became official this summer when Travis proposed, but he’d already become close to Taylor’s family.

When Scott had heart bypass surgery in June, Travis supported Taylor as they cared for him during his recovery.

The artist behind *Life of a Showgirl* told Jason Kelce on the *New Heights* podcast that Travis was talking about someone recently. She quoted him saying, ‘He told me he’s at 75 percent, and if that’s only 75 percent, I’m really worried about how things are going to progress.’

Taylor agreed with her fiancé, noting that her dad’s surgery appeared to have significantly improved his outlook on life.

As she put it, “My dad’s like, ‘New arteries, new me.’”

Taylor said it was strange going through her dad’s health scare, but she’s very happy to share that he’s continuing to recover well.

Taylor shared on SiriusXM’s *The Morning Mashup* on October 6th that he’s doing incredibly well. He even said he’s feeling better than ever, with more energy than he knows what to do with! She described him as ‘amazing’.

Looking back on everything, Taylor is thankful for the time she, Travis, and their family shared together.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce first connected in July 2023 when Swift’s Eras Tour visited Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Being a big fan of Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his jersey number on it at the concert. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to reach her because she was busy getting ready for the show.

Travis explained on his podcast, *New Heights*, that he was a little upset Taylor Swift didn’t speak before or after her concerts because she needs to protect her voice for performing all 44 of her songs. He was hoping to give her one of the friendship bracelets he’d made, but didn’t get the chance.

Following his widely discussed on-field mistake—which he playfully called “metal as hell”—Travis decided to take a chance and invited the Grammy-winning singer to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium.

He explained on *The Pat McAfee Show* that he challenged Taylor Swift, saying he’d seen her perform at Arrowhead Stadium and suggested she come see him perform there too, to see who puts on a better show. He hinted that something might happen soon.

Travis had grown a mustache, first showing it off in August during training camp, and that’s how Taylor first met him.

He later recalled that his mustache and number 87 jersey were a memorable look during that time, and he was wearing them when he first met Taylor.

According to a source familiar with the matter, Travis and Taylor began communicating via text and phone calls around the beginning of September, as reported by TopMob News.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Okay, so you guys have been following the buzz – I was totally seeing it too! Taylor accepted Travis Kelce’s invitation and spent the game with his amazing mom, Donna, at Arrowhead Stadium cheering on the Chiefs. And let me tell you, after the win, things definitely seemed to be heating up! They were spotted being super affectionate at a local bar – talk about a cute post-game celebration!

You know, there was a lot of talk about Taylor and Travis meeting for the very first time when she showed up at his game, but actually, they’d already spent quite a bit of time getting to know each other before that! It wasn’t a totally spontaneous meeting, as the story went. They’d been building a connection for a while, which is lovely to hear.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show how close they were getting, Taylor brought a group of her friends – including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski – to see the Kansas City Chiefs play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

As a dedicated follower of Taylor and Travis, I’ve been so excited to see Taylor really connecting with Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes’ wife! They seem to be getting close both at the games and outside of football, and it feels like another sign that things are getting serious between Taylor and Travis. The couple publicly showcased their relationship with a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 14th. They continued their New York outing with the show’s after-party and a romantic dinner at the Waverly Inn.

During the NFL’s bye week, Travis flew to Argentina to see Taylor Swift perform on the South American leg of her Eras Tour. While there, at the November 11th show in Buenos Aires, he connected with Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, and even received a mention from Taylor onstage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, Taylor Swift reportedly rushed backstage and enthusiastically kissed Travis Kelce.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She told *Time* magazine that she’s excited to support him doing what he’s passionate about, and that they prioritize being there for each other, regardless of who else is around. She contrasted this with the lengths some people go to in order to keep relationships secret.

 

I was so excited to see that Taylor brought her dad to Travis’ game on December 17th! It was really sweet of her to make it a family event and have him there to support Travis.

Taylor and Travis celebrated New Year’s Eve together, and they shared a kiss at midnight as the new year began.

Taylor continued getting to know Travis’ family and spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.

After the Chiefs won the AFC Championship and earned a place in the 2024 Super Bowl, Taylor joined Travis on the field. They celebrated with a kiss and told each other ‘I love you’.

On February 12th, Taylor shared a video of Travis on social media, playfully showing how she brought her parents to a club with him after the Super Bowl.
