Taylor Swift Has Sweet Moment With Jason Kelce’s Kids at Chiefs Game

Taylor Swift is entering her auntie era.

The day after turning 36, singer Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs game on December 14th to support her fiancé, Travis Kelce. She was joined by his parents, Jason and Kylie Kelce, and their daughters, making for a heartwarming family outing.

A sweet video shared on TikTok shows Taylor playfully lifting one of Kylie Jenner’s daughters in the air while enjoying the Kansas City Chiefs versus Los Angeles Chargers game from a VIP suite. With Kylie at her side, Taylor seemed to be enjoying a first taste of being an aunt, as Kylie shares daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 9 months, with her ex, an Eagles player.

This isn’t the first time Taylor has connected with Kylie and Jason’s daughters. She recently shared her experience introducing the toddlers to her cats – Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button – and helping them realize their dad was wrong about the cats not being ‘poisonous.’

It was a fun challenge to show my kids that cats aren’t dangerous,” she said on the August 13th episode of the New Heights podcast. “The best way to do that, I figured, was to let them hold Benjamin, my very relaxed ragdoll cat who loves being cuddled like a baby.

The singer, known as “Red,” went on to say that her cats are great around children. She explained they seem to acknowledge her daughter, Meredith, specifically, and she often points out that Meredith has never bitten anyone—and even if she did, she’s not venomous. The cats, however, seem to disagree with this assessment, suggesting their father told them something different.

Everyone knows Taylor Swift has become close to Travis Kelce’s family. After a popular podcast episode came out, Travis’ parents openly shared how much they enjoy seeing his connection with Taylor.

Mom Donna Kelce told People magazine at the August 24th screening of ESPN’s ‘The Kingdom’ that the documentary felt genuine and heartwarming, which everyone appreciated.

And the brothers’ dad Ed Kelce echoed the sentiment.

“It was lovely watching their connection,” Ed shared with People on August 24th. “They’re clearly very much in love with each other.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce first connected in July 2023 when Swift’s Eras Tour visited Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Being a big Taylor Swift fan, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his jersey number on it while at her concert. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to reach her because she was busy preparing for the show.

Travis explained on his podcast, New Heights, that he was a little upset Taylor Swift didn’t speak before or after her concerts. He understood it was because she needed to protect her voice for the 44 songs she performs, but he was hoping to give her one of the friendship bracelets he’d made.

After jokingly talking about dropping the football – something he’d later call incredibly cool – Travis decided to take a chance and invited the famous singer to come see the Chiefs play at their home stadium.

He explained on The Pat McAfee Show that he challenged Taylor Swift, saying he’d seen her perform at Arrowhead Stadium and suggested she come see him perform there too, to see who puts on a better show. He added that fans might find out what happens soon.

Travis had grown a mustache, first showing it off in August during football training camp, when he and Taylor met.

He later recalled that his mustache and number 87 jersey were a memorable look during that time, and he was wearing them when he first met Taylor.

As a dedicated follower, I was thrilled to hear from a source at TopMob News that things were starting to heat up between Travis and Taylor in early September! Apparently, they were casually texting and chatting whenever they had the chance – it was the beginning of something special, and I was so excited to find out more.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Taylor accepted Travis’ invitation and went to Arrowhead Stadium to see him and the Chiefs play the Chicago Bears, alongside his mother, Donna Kelce. After the game, Taylor and Travis were photographed showing affection for each other at a nearby bar.

Despite rumors that they first met in person at the time, the singer of “Karma” later explained that she and the other person had already known each other for quite a while.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show how serious things were getting, Taylor brought a group of her friends – including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski – to see the Chiefs play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Taylor Swift seems to be getting close to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Travis Kelce’s best friend and teammate, Patrick Mahomes, both at and away from NFL games. This could be another indication that Taylor and Travis are a couple.

Okay, so things are really heating up for this couple! They didn’t just have a night out in New York City, they made a statement. They surprised everyone with an appearance on Saturday Night Live recently, and kept the fun going with the after-party. And as if that wasn’t enough, they finished the night with a super cute date night at the Waverly Inn. Talk about a whirlwind romance – they definitely know how to make an impression!

During the team’s break, Travis flew to Argentina to see Taylor Swift perform as part of her Eras Tour. At the November 11th concert in Buenos Aires, he connected with Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, and Taylor even gave him a special mention from the stage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, Taylor Swift reportedly rushed backstage and kissed Travis Kelce with enthusiasm.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

Taylor continued getting to know Travis’ family, spending time with his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.

After the Chiefs won the AFC Championship and secured their place in the 2024 Super Bowl, Taylor joined Travis on the field. They celebrated with a kiss and then told each other ‘I love you’ for the first time.

Okay, so I’ve been following them closely, and apparently they spent the whole off-season together! Can you believe it? They even went to Montana – Montana! – for a snowy getaway, and they were with Erin Andrews, which is just… amazing. I’m seriously living for this!

In July 2025, Travis shared the first photos of him and Taylor together on Instagram. One sweet picture, taken during dinner, cleverly showed that they both had photos of each other as their phone lockscreens.

During the nearly two-hour conversation, she openly shared details about her life with Travis, both publicly and privately, and announced the title of her upcoming twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which will be released on October 3rd.

Over two years after Travis mentioned Taylor on his podcast – a moment fans quickly noticed – the couple announced their engagement. They playfully referenced Taylor’s song “So High School” in an August 26th Instagram post, captioning their engagement photos with, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
