Taylor Swift Makes $100,000 Donation to 2-Year-Old Cancer Patient

Taylor Swift is making a big impact on a deserving family.

Singer Billie Eilish donated $100,000 to help two-year-old Lilah Smoot fight stage 4 brain cancer.

Taylor included a sweet message with the gift for the little girl, who calls the 35-year-old her “friend.” Katelynn Smoot, the toddler’s mom, shared a video of this on TikTok on October 8th.

Taylor Swift sent a message of support to her friend, Lilah, writing ‘Love, Taylor’ on a GoFundMe page created by Lilah’s family. The Grammy-winning singer shared the message along with a ‘biggest hug’ for the young fan.

Lilah’s fight with cancer started when she was hospitalized at 18 months old after having a seizure. Doctors quickly discovered a large tumor in her brain and diagnosed it as stage 4.

Although doctors successfully removed the tumor, Lilah was diagnosed with a rare and fast-growing type of brain cancer. The GoFundMe page states that only 58 cases were reported in the U.S. last year.

I was so touched to see Taylor’s incredible generosity! After she made her donation, Katelynn publicly thanked her, and it was a really heartwarming moment. It’s amazing when people use their platform to give back, and Katelynn’s message perfectly captured that gratitude.

She expressed overwhelming gratitude in a TikTok post on October 17th, saying she was completely shocked by the support. She explained that this help meant she and her family could focus entirely on caring for their daughter, Lilah, calling it a true blessing and thanking Taylor Swift directly.

Katelynn explained that the donation was a huge help to her family while Lilah was receiving treatment, relieving a lot of financial stress.

She shared that they were simply enjoying time with their daughter, expressing deep gratitude for the moment.

Taylor Swift is known for her kindness, and this isn’t the first time she’s helped someone in need. Back in March 2021, she and her mother, Andrea Swift, donated $50,000 to Vickie Quarles, a mother of five, after her husband, Theodis Ray Quarles, passed away from COVID-19.

After receiving the donations, Vickie told TopMob News she was very thankful for everyone’s support, and specifically praised Taylor and Andrea for their kind and generous contributions.

She said it wouldn’t be easy moving forward without Theodis, but she found strength and hope in knowing she could continue raising their daughters to be kind and compassionate, just like everyone present.
