Taylor Swift will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2026. At 36 years old, she’s the youngest woman ever to receive this honor, beating the previous record by nearly ten years. The announcement was made on CBS Mornings on January 21st.

Taylor Swift will be inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside a talented group of artists this year. Joining her are Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, the songwriting duo Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, and Walter Afanasieff.

The songwriters being honored include Walter Afanasieff, who worked with Mariah Carey on her classic Christmas song “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, who wrote Tina Turner’s hit “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” and Christopher, who co-wrote and produced Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.”

Fans will remember Alanis Morrisette for hits like “You Oughta Know” and “Ironic.” Kenny Loggins is known for his collaborations with Jim Messina and composing music for movies like Top Gun and Footloose. And Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are two of the original members of the band KISS.

Taylor Swift has already received 58 Grammy nominations and won 14 awards for her music, all of which she wrote or co-wrote herself, including work from her album The Tortured Poets Department.
