Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, has fully recovered from his recent heart surgery.
The singer of “Fate of Ophelia” gave an update on the 73-year-old’s health, saying he’s doing much better after having quintuple bypass surgery in June.
Taylor shared on SiriusXM’s *The Morning Mashup* on October 6th that he’s doing incredibly well. He even said he’s feeling better than ever, with an abundance of energy, and is truly amazing.
The Grammy-winning artist shared that her main priority recently has been caring for her father as he recovers. She explained, “Our whole summer was focused on helping him get back to feeling like himself again as a family.”
She continued, saying she was incredibly thankful for the wonderful medical care, doctors, and nurses. The experience completely changed her perspective on what’s truly important in life.
In August, Taylor shared the story of her father’s health issues, explaining how lucky he was that his condition was found early enough for successful treatment.
She explained on the *New Heights* podcast that her fiancé, Travis Kelce, has always had normal EKGs during his annual physicals. However, it was a resting stress test that revealed five blockages in his heart. He’s now encouraging his friends to get stress tests too, because they can help detect problems early and potentially avoid the need for bypass surgery.
Taylor also noted that Scott never lost his sense of humor amid the frightening ordeal.
She said he was exceptionally funny – and he’s normally a very amusing person. He was surprised to learn how many blocked arteries he had, and she told him, ‘Dad, they did five bypasses! That’s a lot more than we expected.’ He responded by saying he came from a highly competitive family.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen firsthand how family time can be incredibly restorative. For Taylor Swift, getting extra moments with her parents, especially her mom, Andrea, down in Florida, wasn’t just a vacation – it was a real emotional boost. It’s so important to prioritize those connections!
Honestly, getting to spend the whole summer with them was just… everything. It was the most amazing experience of my life! We had so much time to really *talk*, you know? Not just quick chats, but those long, deep conversations you only have when you’re together for a long stretch. It was incredible.

Nikki Bella, known from *Total Bellas*, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit in the chest during a wrestling match with Piper Niven in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she finished her current commitment, she’d return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, because she planned to use them again and they couldn’t appear in their current condition.
Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in *12 Years a Slave*, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—benign growths in or around the uterus—in 2014. This was the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
She explained that growing up, many of us are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being female. This often leaves us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.
In July 2025, the actress from *Daisy Jones & The Six* revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t posted recently. Suki replied, jokingly suggesting the reason was a hernia she got six months ago from wearing very tight pants, and that she’d been afraid to mention it.
Oh my gosh, I was SO worried when I heard! Apparently, back in April 2025, my absolute favorite, one of the original stars of *Beverly Hills, 90210*, had a really scary health scare. He had emergency surgery because his appendix was about to burst! I was just relieved to find out he was recovering. Seriously, I was a mess!
I recently had a bit of a health scare I wanted to share. Last week, I started experiencing some stomach pain, and it ended up sending me to the emergency room. Turns out, my appendix had a perforation – it hadn’t *fully* burst, but it was very close. It was definitely a wake-up call to prioritize my well-being!
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”
During a soccer game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder for Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before she collapsed. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
After receiving immediate medical attention on the field, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, the National Women’s Soccer League reported. They stated she is currently in stable condition and is alert.
Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 continue to cause him problems now.
“It’s been awful,” Devine shared on the *In Depth With Graham Bensinger* podcast in 2025. “I experience spasms throughout my body, and doctors recently told me I was nearing the end of my life—within the last year, actually.”
He acknowledged that his pain is intermittent, explaining that his body has some minor imperfections and doesn’t always function as expected.
A former contestant on *The Bachelor* had to be hospitalized after experiencing severe back pain. He described having to crawl to get help, and said the pain worsened during a recent road trip with a friend.
He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his knees and toes as of a March 2025 podcast episode of *Trading Secrets*. To give some context, he explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even do a squat, can’t balance on one leg, and falls over. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
Gina Kirschenheiter, from *The Real Housewives of Orange County*, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he recovered.
In March 2025, the actor from *30 Rock* experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be taken out of Madison Square Garden in a wheelchair.
The comedian later posted on social media to explain he’d actually gotten food poisoning and was starting to feel better.
In February 2025, the former *Even Stevens* star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday outing with her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.
In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone else at a party. They fired a weapon unsafely, and she was hit five times, with one bullet narrowly missing her right eye. @thebrendanrooney quickly helped, evaluating her injuries and rushing her to the hospital.
I was really worried to hear about what happened to him, but he explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind his eye. Surgery is too dangerous right now to try and remove it, so doctors are going to keep a close watch on him. Thankfully, he says he can still see perfectly fine, which is such a relief!
As a huge fan, hearing her speak really touched me. She shared that she’s just so thankful to still be with us. She talked about how much she loves her daughters, her husband, her whole family and all her friends. She said she literally *saw* her life pass before her eyes, and it made her realize something so important: we need to cherish the people we have and hug them whenever we get the chance, because things can change in an instant. It was a really powerful message.
I’m such a fan of Amy Schumer, and I was so impressed with how she handled this whole situation! It’s amazing how the internet, which can be so negative, actually helped her figure out what was going on with her health. She was doing press and noticed people commenting on her face looking ‘puffy,’ and honestly, she just asked everyone to chill. But then, doctors *started* commenting, seriously concerned! They were pointing out potential signs of Cushing syndrome, and she was like, ‘Wait, am I being trolled by medical professionals?’ It turned out they were right to be concerned. She’d had a breast reduction and a C-section, and had been getting steroid injections for her scars. Those injections led to Cushing syndrome, and she never would have known if people hadn’t noticed and spoken up! She’s so grateful now, because thankfully, she has a form of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own, and she’s healthy. It’s just such a relief to hear, and it shows how sometimes, even online criticism can lead to something positive.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what happened to him! Back in December 2024, during a game, he got cut by another player’s skate – it was awful! He needed a whopping 25 stitches to fix it. His dad, Tom Fitzgerald – you know, the GM of the Devils? – told ESPN after he was all healed that they felt so incredibly lucky it wasn’t worse. He said, and I quote, ‘We’re very lucky. I don’t wish that on any parent.’ It was just…terrifying, honestly, but thankfully he’s okay now!
In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and noticing her face drooping. Though her symptoms briefly subsided, she went to the hospital for testing. Doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further investigation at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had passed through this hole and caused the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.
The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on *Good Morning America* that Justin was recovering well, adding that while the situation was frightening and unexpected, he was going to be okay and she was thankful he was fine.
Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. He explained that he was in Atlanta when he suffered a severe headache and asked for aspirin. Before he could take it, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.
The reality TV star said she temporarily stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
She shared on the show *Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser* that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but then she saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.
Emilia Clarke, known for her role in *Game of Thrones*, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for *The New Yorker*. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in an artery. Emergency surgery was performed to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure failed, causing a major bleed, and doctors warned her that another operation – this time requiring them to open her skull – was her only chance of survival. Thankfully, Emilia reports that she has now made a full recovery and is doing well.
Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how thankful she is for her family’s support after experiencing a stroke in January 2024. She immediately contacted them, sending a text and a picture, and they all rushed to be with her.
Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. She explained to TopMob News that while she could have gone home after the stroke, her lupus and failing kidneys required further treatment.
Now, Cori is recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said. “I just needed to work on regaining some motor skills, but overall, I’m fine.”
Shailene Woodley struggled with serious health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described losing her hearing, being unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing hours of rest, and experiencing constant stomach pain. She received multiple diagnoses from different doctors, leaving her feeling confused.
Shailene, who has chosen not to publicly disclose her specific condition, took a holistic approach to finding answers, combining the expertise of traditional doctors with alternative healers and her own studies in herbalism.
This search for well-being lasted a decade. During that time, her physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and eventually to struggles with body image and a sense of self. She explained that being in constant pain created confusion about her identity and how to feel comfortable in her own body.
Fortunately, after years of addressing both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now feeling much better and considers herself very healthy. She’s happy to share that she has fully recovered.
