Since Travis Kelce, my all-time favorite singer from “The Life of a Showgirl” and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, announced their significant step forward in their two-year relationship, I must admit, it took me aback as one of their close buddies – yep, I’m talking about Patrick and Brittany Mahomes here! The joyous news of their milestone left us utterly astonished.

Instead, after posting on his personal Instagram Story, Travis’ Chiefs teammate displayed multiple heart emojis, colored red.

At the same time, Brittany – mother to Sterling, 4 years old, Bronze, 2 years old, and Golden, just 7 months – couldn’t imagine a more joyful event.

On her Instagram Story, Brittany excitedly shared, “These two sincere individuals found each other and fell in love! So thrilled for them!

On August 26th, Taylor and Travis revealed their news on Instagram, accompanied by the fitting tune from her album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” titled “So High School.” There are whispers that this song could be a reflection of her relationship with the football player.

Surely, the artist known as “Karma” made another witty reference to their old high school love story, playfully captioning a stick of dynamite emoji with, “Your former English and P.E. teachers are tying the knot.

In the set of photos capturing that memorable occasion, the couple is encompassed by a garden bursting with pink, white, and red roses. A different slide highlights Taylor’s Old Mine Brilliant Cut ring, skillfully crafted by Kindred Lubeck.

The much-anticipated new chapter in Taylor and Travis’ romantic tale has been a while in the making. It’s not hard to understand why – after many hints, Taylor has expressed that no other man has captivated her as profoundly as the famous NFL player.

During my recent guesting on New Heights, I shared a heartfelt sentiment – “This podcast has been incredibly impactful in my life; I can’t help but feel grateful for its presence.” You see, it all started when Travis playfully tried to utilize it as his personal dating platform.

Despite the jokes, Taylor admitted that she felt instantly smitten recalling their earliest days. 

She revealed that he genuinely tries to understand her in an effortlessly sincere manner. His ability to find humor in ordinary moments, making him feel like a breath of fresh air or a boost for anyone’s spirits. He’s like an exuberant punctuation mark among us humans.

She expressed it as follows: “I felt something like, ‘If this man isn’t insane, this is essentially the scenario I’ve been longing for in my songs since my teenage years.’

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romantic journey commenced in July 2023, as Taylor’s Eras Tour happened to be at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

As a big fan of Taylor Swift, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs eagerly attended the concert, hoping to present Taylor with a friendship bracelet engraved with his number. Unfortunately, he was unable to do so because of her pre-performance routines.

Travis expressed his frustration during the July 26 episode of his New Heights podcast, saying he felt let down because she doesn’t engage in conversations before or after her performances due to conserving her voice for the 44 songs she sings. As a result, he was somewhat disappointed that he didn’t get the opportunity to present her with one of the handmade bracelets he created for her.

Upon openly sharing my blunder, a mistake Taylor would later label as “purely metal,” I mustered up the courage to extend an invitation to the illustrious Grammy winner, inviting him to witness the Chiefs battle it out live at Arrowhead Stadium.

He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an invitation, essentially suggesting a challenge. He said, “I think you’ve put on quite a show at Arrowhead, so maybe it’s time for you to witness my own performance there and determine which one of us is more entertaining.” So, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds.

When Travis was initially presented to Taylor, he was sporting a mustache that he had grown since August, during the training camp.

Later on, he remarked about that period, “For a while, the mustache and the number 87 were quite iconic, and I was wearing them when I first met Taylor.

According to a reliable source, by early September, Travis and Taylor were exchanging occasional texts and conversations.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Upon accepting Travis’ invitation, Taylor attended the game alongside Donna Kelce, the athlete’s mother, at Arrowhead Stadium to watch Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Chicago Bears. Following the match, pictures emerged of Taylor and Travis publicly displaying affection at a nearby bar.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must clarify a misunderstanding about a famous encounter. Contrary to popular belief, the two individuals weren’t just meeting for the first time in person. In reality, they had already spent a substantial period building a connection and getting to know one another prior to their highly publicized rendezvous.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To signal that things were getting more serious, Taylor invited her friends such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski to the game where the Chiefs faced off against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

It seems that one indicator suggesting Travis might be “The One” for Taylor is her growing friendship with Brittany Mahomes, who’s married to Travis’ close friend and football teammate Patrick Mahomes. This bond appears both on the field during NFL matches and in their private lives.

The romantic duo unexpectedly graced the October 14th episode of Saturday Night Live on TV, with additional appearances at the after-party for the NBC sketch show and a dinner date at the Waverly Inn in New York City.

During a break in his schedule, Travis made his way to Argentina during the South American leg of Taylor’s Eras Tour. Not only did the NFL player connect with Scott Swift, Taylor’s father, at the November 11th concert in Buenos Aires, but he was also acknowledged from the stage with a special mention.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, the artist of “Midnights” was spotted rushing towards Travis backstage, enthusiastically embracing him with a heartfelt kiss.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She shared with Time magazine, “I’m excited to witness him pursuing his passion, we’re supporting each other in this, and there will be others present. We don’t mind about it.” Conversely, it means one must put in a lot of effort to ensure that their relationship remains private, which isn’t the case here.

 

The renowned music star made Travis’ December 17th game a family event by inviting her father to support him.

Taylor and Travis celebrated their first New Year’s Eve as a pair, exchanging a tender kiss as the clock chimed midnight on January 1st.

While further cementing ties with Travis’ family, Taylor spent quality time with his brother Jason Kelce and his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game versus the Buffalo Bills.

On the day the Chiefs secured their place in the 2024 Super Bowl by winning the AFC Championship, Taylor met up with Travis on the football field. Their joyous moment was marked by a celebratory kiss and the exchange of ‘the L-word’.

Taylor’s first Instagram post with Travis showed a selfie taken backstage during her Eras tour concert at Wembley Stadium in London, featuring Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

During the seventh concert of the Eras tour, held at London’s Wembley Stadium (where he had attended the second show), the NFL player made an appearance on stage alongside his partner. This was not as the headliner, but rather as a supporting artist during her rendition of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.

In this photograph posted by Chariah Gordon, Taylor was seen attending the initial game of the 2024-25 season for the Chief’s team alongside Travis. The image seems to capture a moment reminiscent of public displays of affection, similar to one that occurred in October 2023 between Chariah and her boyfriend, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

The duo were present at the wedding of model Karen Elson, who tied the knot with Lee Foster, the owner of Electric Lady Studios, in New York City.

The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

Over the New Year’s weekend in 2024, the duo ventured out for consecutive dates in New York City, wearing identical ensembles on each occasion.

During the NFL’s off-season break, they took a snowy getaway to Montana, spending it alongside sports broadcaster Erin Andrews.

In the month of July 2025, Travis shared his initial photos with Taylor on Instagram, among which was a charming snapshot capturing them during dinner. This photo hinted at something subtle – they each had pictures of one another as their phone screen savers.
