Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are the new romantics in their matching ensembles.

Singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce were spotted on a date in New York City on November 5th at The Polo Bar. They coordinated their outfits, choosing similar styles for the evening.

Taylor dressed for the outing in a black, long-sleeved sweater worn off-the-shoulder, paired with loose-fitting gray trousers. She finished the look with a belt, a bold silver necklace, and a black shoulder bag, and of course, her classic red lipstick.

I was so excited when Travis proposed to Taylor in August, after they’d been dating for two years! And honestly, he just gets her. I loved seeing them coordinate their outfits – he wore a black sweater and dark green pants to match her vibe, and even added a cool silver necklace! It just proves he’s totally head-over-heels and knows how to make her feel special.

Taylor shared that she showed someone a video about a year and a half ago because she thought it was really interesting. She noticed he was carefully observing everything in it.

Taylor also felt the way Travis proposed felt reminiscent of high school, and it wasn’t just the ring itself. The singer revealed that Travis made a big effort to create a romantic atmosphere before he proposed in the backyard of his home in Lee Summit, Missouri, after she was a guest on his New Heights podcast.

Taylor revealed on The Graham Norton Show on October 3rd that her partner went above and beyond to propose. He actually had an entire garden constructed behind his house specifically for the proposal, while they were talking on his podcast!

She added, “He went all out—10 out of 10.”

It’s hard to imagine Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce having a wedding on just any day – it would likely be a date that’s significant to them, or at least to Taylor.

Taylor Swift, a known lover of the number 13 and patterns, shared her enthusiasm for numerology and dates on the August 13th episode of the New Heights podcast. Her two-hour appearance aired 13 days before she and Travis Kelce announced their engagement. However, Travis’s father mentioned they had already told close friends and family about their relationship three days prior to the podcast episode.

Travis is turning 36 on October 5th, and his plans for the NFL after his current contract ends in 2025 will influence when he and his partner get married. If he continues playing football, their wedding will take place during the off-season, sometime between February after the Super Bowl and the start of training camp in July.

If Travis retires after 13 seasons—which is hard to believe—he’ll be able to get married, potentially in October, Taylor’s favorite month. The timing will depend on whether Taylor announces a tour for her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. Her twelfth studio album comes out October 3rd, and she typically reveals tour dates around a month after a new album release (not a re-recorded one).

Taylor Swift is famous for her close group of friends, but she revealed in October 2025 that she hasn’t thought about planning a bachelorette party yet.

She confessed on Heart radio that people might assume she’d always dreamed of her wedding, but she actually never gave it any thought until she found the right person. Before that, she hadn’t pictured any details of her special day.

Travis is also into fashion, so he’s planning to have some fun choosing his wedding suit – he’s open to anything!

He proposed while wearing shorts – it was a hot August day in Kansas! – and that sparked some jokes online about him wearing shorts for the wedding too. But that would be a pretty bold move, and he probably wants to make sure all eyes are on his bride, who will be wearing a beautiful dress.

In a 2012 interview with Cosmopolitan, Taylor Swift clarified she hadn’t chosen a tuxedo for her future husband, explaining she wanted him to feel like his presence truly mattered.

Taylor and Travis both deeply value family, so their parents and brothers will definitely be important guests at the wedding. Jason Kelce, likely to be Travis’s best man, shares two young daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte, with his wife Kylie. Depending on the wedding date, his younger daughter Bennett might also be a flower girl. However, the newest addition to the family, baby Finnley, will probably be too young to participate.

It will be interesting to see which of Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates are invited, but he was a groomsman at Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes’ wedding in 2022, so we know at least one teammate will be there. Plus, he’s been friends with a close group of guys since high school, so his bachelor party – filled with golf and drinks – is going to be a lot of fun.

I’ve watched Taylor’s friendships over the years, and it’s so sweet to see how important some people have remained! Abigail Anderson, her childhood best friend, is still a huge part of her life, which warms my heart. And thankfully, Selena Gomez is still in that super-close group – they even exchange homemade sourdough, which is just adorable! Despite everything going on, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are still clearly close too, which is wonderful to see. They’re such a supportive bunch!

Okay, seriously, can we talk about flower girls? It’s HUGE that Taylor is already godmother to Blake and Ryan’s daughters! Like, that’s practically a pre-requisite for being involved in any wedding plans, right? I’m just saying, it makes SO much sense!

On the September 17th episode of New Heights, Travis shared his preference for live music, saying, “I think we’re just people who enjoy bands over DJs, you know?”

Ugh, we knew it, we’re so on the same page.

Even if the bride doesn’t perform, she has plenty of talented friends who are great singers. We’re especially hoping to see Haim take the stage!

But Taylor joked it “would be hard to keep” Ed Sheeran from performing at her wedding. 

She explained in an October 2025 interview with Hits Radio that Ed Sheeran is a natural performer. She said, ‘If there’s a stage, Ed knows he’ll be on it,’ adding that he understands and wants to fulfill what his audience expects.

Taylor may love Travis so much she’d marry him with paper rings, but that won’t be the case.

Comedian Nikki Glaser, a self-proclaimed fan of Taylor Swift, believes a large wedding is on the horizon. She told TopMob News at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, “Everything seems to be pointing that way.”

The comedian pointed out that because Taylor Swift essentially lives in the spotlight, her wedding will probably be kept very private.

Nikki said she knows the person just wants to share the happy occasion with everyone they care about, as they have a large circle of friends and family. She jokingly predicted that someone will likely try to bother them by taking pictures from a helicopter overhead.

As soon as the wedding is over and the couple drives away, Taylor will definitely begin sharing photos and details from her wedding with her fans.
