It’s been a long time since Taylor Swift sat next to a red head named Abigail Anderson at school.

Over the past two decades, since they were fifteen, Abigail’s life has progressed significantly as she got engaged, married, and had her first baby. She’s overjoyed that Taylor is also moving towards similar milestones, having become engaged to Travis Kelce.

On her Instagram Story, Abigail shared a post from the couple that was dated August 26th, adding simply, “This” along with a red heart emoji.

Many, including both admirers and contemporaries, are thrilled as Taylor’s long-time friend has now become an engaged couple with a Grammy winner and a Kansas City Chiefs player. Their romantic tale is reaching new heights, with Taylor herself confirming the happy news.

Alongside Travis, his NFL teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes, who has become a close friend of Travis’s following numerous Chiefs games together, were among those rejoicing in the news.

In a joyful response, Patrick expressed his excitement with a series of heart emojis on his story. Meanwhile, Brittany penned down, “Two genuinely wonderful individuals find each other and fall in love. So thrilled for them both!

Abigail and Brittany strongly associated Taylor’s song “So High School” from the album The Tortured Poets Department, a track often speculated as a tribute to her relationship with Travis, with their posts.

Taylor and Travis hinted at the educational symbolism in their announcement of their engagement with a caption that reads, “The school teacher and the coach are tying the knot.

They capped off their caption with a dynamite emoji—a nod to their initials, “T ‘n T.”

Consequently, he was a bit disheartened because he couldn’t give her one of the bracelets he had made for her.

Following his awkward slip-up, which Travis himself labeled as “rock solid” later on, he mustered up the courage to extend an invitation to the Grammy winner, proposing they attend the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium together.

He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an invitation. Specifically, he had suggested that she should make a move now, like playing a game of tennis at Arrowhead.
