Tearful Alix Earle Breaks Silence on Braxton Berrios Breakup

Alix Earle is speaking out.

After dating for over two years, the TikTok star explained why she and Braxton Berrios decided to end their relationship.

In a TikTok video posted on December 13th, she sadly shared that she and Braxton have broken up. They’ve been in a long-distance relationship since June and haven’t been able to see each other much, which has been very challenging for her.

Some of the tension in their relationship stemmed from Alix’s participation in season 34 of Dancing with the Stars while her then-partner, a wide receiver for the Houston Texans, was traveling for NFL games. As Alix excelled on the show in Los Angeles, she began to imagine a future living there, which created an even greater distance between them.

She confessed that realizing this was frightening, as it meant they wouldn’t be together anymore. She also explained she really needs to prioritize her own well-being right now and doesn’t feel capable of giving Braxton what he needs.

Ultimately, Alix Earle just wants Braxton to be with someone who can fully focus on him.

I really wanted to be there for him, to offer constant support and companionship – someone by his side all the time. But honestly, I think I was putting that expectation on myself more than he was asking it of me. It just left me feeling incredibly guilty, like I wasn’t doing enough.

Even though Alix and Braxton are separating, they still care deeply for each other. As Alix explained, “I love Braxton – he’s my best friend, and it’s been really hard navigating this change.”

Alix also emphasized that there’s no bad blood between the two.

She explained that they seem to be growing apart, which is really upsetting. They’re still friendly, and she wants to protect him from any negativity or speculation. She clarified that his absence from Dancing with the Stars wasn’t due to any personal failing, but because of his commitment to football.

She explained that it wasn’t a result of any conflict or wrongdoing on either side. They simply realized, as things were happening, that the relationship wasn’t a good fit.

Even before officially breaking up, Alix, 24, and Braxton, 30, faced rumors about their relationship, starting as early as this summer. In June, while on vacation in Spain, Alix, an influencer, publicly showed her affection for the NFL player, posting a TikTok video of them at the beach. She wore a large T-shirt that said, “I love my boyfriend,” to confirm they were still together.

Rumors continued to swirl about the couple, particularly because Braxton was rarely seen in the audience during season 34 of Dancing With the Stars. When a fan questioned Alix—who came in second place with professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy—about her then-boyfriend’s absence, she explained that he was busy with his sports commitments.

Okay, so I was totally scrolling through Alix’s TikTok and had to ask about her and Braxton. I left a comment, practically begging to know if they were still together, and she actually replied! It wasn’t the answer I wanted, though. She just said Braxton couldn’t be with her because of football. Football! Like, seriously? Once news of their breakup was confirmed, Alix quickly started appearing in public again. She recently made a striking impression at Art Basel Miami Beach in a tight-fitting white minidress with cutouts, sharing photos on Instagram with the caption, “Good to see u again miami,” which many saw as a confident and stylish response to the split.

Alix was enjoying being single when rumors about her dating life started circulating. She had to publicly deny a fake screenshot that claimed New York Giants rookie Jaxson Dart had contacted her after her recent split.

On December 7th, Alix addressed a photoshopped direct message circulating online, posting to her Instagram Story, “That never happened and I would never post something like that on my story.”
