Tearful Whitney Leavitt Compares DWTS Elimination to a “Breakup”

Whitney Leavitt isn’t keeping her feelings about her elimination from Dancing With the Stars a secret.

A star from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives posted a heartfelt video about being eliminated from season 34 of a show, just before the final round, alongside her partner, Mark Ballas.

In a recent Instagram post on November 20th, Whitney explained that she likes to be open and honest about her life. She shares both the positive and negative experiences, and plans to continue doing so.

She explained that being on Dancing with the Stars means spending hours with the same people every day, so when the show ends, it feels like a real breakup. She said it feels like she’s going through withdrawal right now, and today was especially strange because she wasn’t going to the studio to rehearse with Mark and learn a new dance. It just felt off and made her feel sad.

The 32-year-old went on to detail the positive aspects of her experience on DWTS.

She explained that being part of this experience helped her build genuine friendships and strong connections with others. It also led to a lot of self-discovery, surrounded by supportive people who encouraged her to grow and feel truly loved.

Whitney shared some important lessons she learned during the competition and plans to apply them to her everyday life now that the show is over.

Whitney shared how much she enjoyed everything about the experience, but what she cherished most was unexpectedly gaining a lifelong friend – someone who constantly makes her laugh with silly noises. She expressed immense gratitude, saying she loved everyone involved and was a huge fan of the show.

Although many viewers were surprised when they were eliminated, the contestant and her partner had already admitted they expected it.

She emphasized how vital it is to be around people who support your goals, even if they seem far-fetched. She admitted it might sound cliché, but having that kind of encouragement is crucial.

Oh my gosh, she finally said it! She basically admitted she’ll always love Mark! She was just going on and on about how amazing their friendship was while they worked together, and honestly, it was EVERYTHING I needed to hear. I KNEW they had something special! It’s just… perfect. She’s so grateful for him, and I am too! They’re meant to be!

Oh my god, it was EVERYTHING! Whitney said it herself, and honestly, same! The absolute BEST part, the thing I never even dreamed of, was seeing her find a real, lifelong friend – and apparently, this friend is hilarious and makes fart noises every day! It’s just… perfect. I’m so incredibly grateful for this show and for everyone involved. Seriously, I LOVE you guys, and I absolutely, completely, 100% LOVE this show!

Although many viewers were surprised when they were eliminated, the contestant and her partner had already admitted they expected it.

Mark shared with Will Marfuggi from TopMob News on election night that they had a strong sense of how things would turn out. “We knew, we felt it. I think we just had a feeling,” he said.

Whitney echoed those sentiments, saying, “We had a gut feeling it was us.”
