Teddi Mellencamp Has “No Detectable Cancer” Amid Stage 4 Cancer Battle

Teddi Mellencamp is sharing an encouraging update on her cancer battle.

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared the incredible news that her stage 4 cancer is now “gone.” Doctors had previously given her a 50/50 chance of survival.

“I wanted to share a quick health update,” Teddi shared on the October 3rd episode of her Two T’s in a Pod podcast. “I had my immunotherapy treatment yesterday, and my scans came back clear – they didn’t find any detectable cancer at this time.”

Dolores Catania, a guest on the podcast discussing the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, was very happy to hear the news.

“Oh, I’m so happy!” exclaimed the Real Housewives of New Jersey star. “How can I possibly move forward after this? I’m furious with how the episode turned out!”

“I really wish I could give you a hug,” she continued. “I love you very much. Thank you for sharing that with me – it truly surprised me and left me speechless.”

Teddi-who is a parent to Slate, age 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, with her soon-to-be ex-husband Edwin Arroyave-continued by describing how she felt after receiving the results of her medical tests.

“When they told me, I was in such shock,” she shared. “I was like, numb.”

Although the news was definitely something to celebrate, the 44-year-old woman warned that she isn’t fully recovered just yet. She emphasized that she still has a ways to go in her recovery process, and isn’t completely out of danger quite yet.

She remembered them explaining that it worked in stages: after one year, then two, and finally, at three years, you could be considered in remission. “So, it was really big news yesterday,” she added.

Teddi had shared before how facing cancer made her consider her own life and the fact that it wouldn’t last forever. She was really thinking about what it means to be mortal, and how her battle with the disease was bringing that to the forefront.

“I don’t think you can truly grasp how much pain I experience on certain days,” she shared with ET in April, her voice breaking as she considered the possibility of her children being without a mother. “It’s incredibly scary. My children are still very young.”

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was *living* for the photos of this family’s trip to Disneyland and California Adventure in June 2024! Seriously, a day with friends at the parks? Dreamy! And Teddi? She totally gets it. She posted on Instagram, and I just *felt* her. She said, “They say it’s a small world,” which is so true, but then she added, “but my feet say otherwise.” SO RELATABLE! I mean, all that walking… I’m exhausted just *looking* at the pictures, but in the best way possible!

“I needed this,” Teddi captioned a pic with her youngest. “Thank you.”

Teddi shared her excitement in July 2024, celebrating her oldest child’s incredible achievement: winning the Classic Stake at the Junior Hunter Finals at just 11-years-old! She wrote, “When you jump to a 90 at Junior Hunter Finals at 11-years-old… and WIN the Classic Stake!!” and added, “So proud.”

Teddi shared on Instagram in August 2024, asking “I cried because…?” and then listing the reasons: “1. I’m going to miss them. 2. They’re getting older which means I am too. 3. I can actually work in peace throughout the day. 4. A combination of all the above.”

The family honors Teddi’s dad, music legend John Mellencamp, in October 2024.

Happy birthday, Dads,” she posted. “Being able to spend time with you at the @capitalchallengehorseshow this weekend was wonderful. But that final jump is a gift that just keeps on being amazing! Love you, @johnmellencamp.

Slate, Dove and Cruz enjoy a day with grandpa.

“My grandpa is 93 years old, and somehow he *still* gets chosen for teams before me in our family football game,” the Bravo alum shared on Instagram. “But honestly, the bigger debate in the family is whether pumpkin pie or apple pie is better. What’s your pick?”

Teddi celebrates Thanksgiving 2024 with her three kids.

“The North Pole comes to SoCal!” Teddi shared with a festive photo.

Oh my gosh, I was *totally* seeing this on New Year’s Eve, 2024! Teddi was right – I mean, who *doesn’t* start celebrating the ball drop at 9PM PST?! It’s the only way! Seriously though, I was dying to know – how do other parents let their kiddos stay up until midnight *local* time on NYE?! I need to know your secrets! It’s a struggle, you know?
