Teddi Mellencamp is recovering from a scary experience.
Following a break-in attempt at her and ex-husband Edwin Arroyave’s Los Angeles residence on July 21st, the former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” provided insights into her current state.
In my social media post this very day, I conveyed, “I adore each and every one of you.” I appreciate the concern you’ve shown, though I might not be replying to messages right now. Rest assured, I’m doing fine and taking some well-deserved rest.
Just past ten in the evening on the night of the event, officials received a report of a burglary and promptly responded, as confirmed by the LAPD to ABC News. Remarkably, the residents were still indoors at that time.
Upon the arrival of the police officers at the location, as reported by LAPD, the alleged burglars – who were said to be two men wearing black hoodies – had already left in a black BMW. It was believed that they initially entered the property through the garage and managed to get inside, but didn’t progress much deeper before fleeing, according to authorities speaking with ABC News.
TopMob News has reached out to police as well as Teddi’s reps but has not heard back.
The recent event transpired during a challenging phase in Teddi’s life, being a mother to Slate (12), Cruz (10), and Dove (5) together with Edwin. Earlier this year, she disclosed that she has been diagnosed with multiple brain tumors.
Over the past few weeks, she’s been struggling with intense and disabling headaches, as expressed in her Instagram post in February. Yesterday, the pain became unmanageable, necessitating a hospital visit. Following CT scan and MRI examinations, doctors discovered numerous tumors in her brain, which they suspect have been growing for at least half a year.
Ever since my diagnosis at 44, I’ve been open about the challenges that this illness brings. One of those is the necessity of shaving my head before a brain surgery due to the tumors in my brain and lungs that we’re treating.
She openly expressed on Instagram in May, accompanied by a picture showing her wearing long blonde wigs, that she usually chooses to wear a wig during challenging days. The rollercoaster ride of dealing with stage 4 brain and lung tumors brings about significant ups and downs. She strongly encourages everyone to get their annual check-ups.
However, even amidst her challenging health struggles, the reality TV personality – who initiated a divorce from Edwin in November – remains resolute in embracing life wholeheartedly.
Teddi shared on her podcast with Tamra Judge last month that people have been questioning her about fostering a dog and dating. One common response was, “With everything going on, she should only be focused on her children and surviving. How can she possibly be dating?
Despite ending her relationship with a person whose identity she kept private, barely a month after they made their romantic life public, she underscored that her health struggles would not deter her from embarking on fresh connections.
She went on to say, “Every single day brings concerns about your health and well-being, making every effort possible, and cherishing time with your children.” Essentially, she bluntly expressed her frustration by saying, ” frankly, if you want to date, life doesn’t pause just because you have cancer.
