Teen Mom’s Jenelle Evans Responds After Son Jace, 16, Moves Out

Jenelle Evans is weighing in on her son’s new chapter.

Five days after news broke about her 16-year-old son Jace, whom she shares with ex Andrew Lewis, leaving to live with relatives in North Carolina, the Teen Mom celebrity shared her reflections on this change in their family’s living arrangements.

Jenelle expressed on her Instagram Story on August 27th that it’s a full-circle moment, and she hopes for change and adherence to the rules. As a mother to Kaiser (11), born from her past relationship with Nathan Griffith, and Ensley (8), born from her past relationship with David Eason, she added that she has two other children to consider, ensuring their well-being as well.

As a devoted follower, I echo the 33-year-old’s sentiments about her personal experience resonating with Jace’s journey. The intricacies of her relationship with Barbara Evans, who looked after Jace for over a decade up until 2023, have striking parallels to my own challenging bond with my mom.

Jenelle explained in another slide, ‘He was brought up by my mom,’ emphasizing that she needed to change her own reactions in various situations and learn patience and attentiveness. She mentioned working hard to filter out profanity in her speech since it had been a part of her upbringing, admitting she’s still making progress. Furthermore, she spoke about breaking free from the family pattern and unfortunately, it seems like this cycle is repeating itself.

Apart from commenting on Jace’s actions, the experienced reality TV personality also addressed texts previously leaked by her son, stating that they did not represent a complete conversation.

In the images that the teenager posted, suggesting his mother was unbalanced, he displayed what appeared to be messages supposedly sent by Jenelle, where she reportedly wrote, “It’s you who keeps saying your custody could be taken from me. I don’t care! You won’t get anything else from me again, not even a phone call.

After the disclosure, Jenelle acknowledged the situation and clarified that managing her son Jace’s health issues such as ADHD, major depression, and oppositional defiant disorder has been challenging, but she assured everyone that she has consistently persevered in providing him with care.

She expressed on her Instagram story on August 19 that her kids are her universe, for everything she does is aimed at shielding, guiding, and cherishing them.

Just like any parent, I establish guidelines and limits, which isn’t always simple,” Jenelle pointed out. “Regardless of the hurdles we face, I am committed to supporting him, and I will strive to be the most effective mother possible for all three of my children.
