Teen Mom’s Tyler Baltierra Shares Autism Diagnosis

The pieces finally fell into place for Tyler Baltierra.

Previously on “Teen Mom,” the cast member revealed that he has recently been diagnosed with autism, explaining that this diagnosis finally provides answers to unresolved questions from his past childhood experiences.

During the August 27 episode of their podcast, Cate & Ty: Break It Down, he expressed it as if a heavy burden had been lifted, saying “It was like a deep exhale.” However, after that moment, his emotions shifted and he became quite sad. He exclaimed, “Wow!” and found himself reflecting on the hardships he faced as a child. This reflection led him to feel a profound sadness for the young boy within him who had once asked himself questions like, “What’s wrong with me? Why am I not normal?

He mentioned that for him, aged 33, it was observing similar behaviors in his 6-year-old daughter Vaeda, who is shared with Catelynn Baltierra, that reminded him of his own childhood experiences, leading him to consider getting a test done.

Looking at Vaeda, it’s as if I’m thinking, ‘Wow, now I see why she acts that way.’ It reminds me of my childhood, where I used to do similar things, pondering over why people didn’t understand what I was trying to express or how significant these seemingly insignificant things were to me. What struck me first is her intense emotional investment in small matters that usually wouldn’t seem important.

After initially being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Tyler’s recent diagnosis of autism seems to fit better for him, as he never felt the extreme highs and lows typically linked with bipolar disorder (BPD) resonated. During a conversation with a doctor about his autism, everything became clearer.

The reality star pondered, “Had I been aware of my autism or being on the spectrum, might it have influenced my treatment differently?” They mused, “Indeed, it sparked a thought, ‘Oh, how much could have been altered.’

But in looking ahead, Tyler moves forward with a better understanding of how he functions.

He explained that his thought process is simply unique, implying no need for change. Instead, he suggested embracing this trait, adding that understanding it enhances his self-awareness.

He remembered her saying, ‘Your mood changes seem linked to disruptions in your peculiar habit pattern, which I might not fully grasp and neither will your wife.’ Essentially, it’s like trying to explain the mechanics of these feelings in your mind. The reality star pondered, “Had I been aware of being autistic or on the spectrum, would my therapy experience have differed? It’s made me reflect, ‘There are countless ways things might have turned out differently.’

She shared that she was still dating Dimitri, having known him for a whopping 18 months by then. However, it’s been a year since they last saw each other. A few months passed since Gary and his wife Kristina Anderson had their daughter Emilee in April 2015. Later on, they held a charming beach wedding.

In a 2022 Instagram post, Gary expressed, “Your soul is one of the most radiant and lovely I’ve encountered. I can’t imagine navigating life without you by my side.

Farrah Abraham’s daughter Sophia’s father tragically passed away due to an accident approximately two months before she was born in December 2008.

Following a one-year marriage to Courtland Rogers, giving birth to her second child, Kaiser, with former fiance Nathan Griffin in 2014, Jenelle later married David Eason on their North Carolina property in September 2017, eight months after the arrival of their daughter Ensley.

The “Teen Mom” star admitted to TopMob News a year on that she needed the breakup. She shared that she had gained valuable insights from her previous relationship split, and going forward, she feels as though a new chapter in her life is commencing.

Kailyn Lowry had her first child, Isaac, with her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera at the age of 17, in the year 2010.

Though they parted ways a year later, they have since established a harmonious co-parenting agreement. In fact, Kailyn has been hosting her podcast, “Baby Mamas No Drama,” with Jo’s wife, Vee Torres, for quite some time. With construction worker Elijah, Kailyn has found the solid ground she’s been seeking. As she confided in People, Elijah is unlike her previous partners and the fathers of her children. “He’s not just about getting dirty at work; he’s also a dedicated family man,” she shared. “He’s deeply rooted in his own family, as well as ours, making him an exceptional partner for me. I believe our partnership is a strong fit.

A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact. 

In an interview with TopMob News in September 2024, Kailyn clarified about her neighbor-turned-partner, stating that he had proposed marriage multiple times. However, she emphasized that while she never rejected him outright, she simply responded, “Yes, but not yet.

Ultimately, though, the timing wasn’t right, Kailyn revealing in July 2025 that they had split. 

On the Give them Lala podcast, she explained that she often receives criticism for leaving her children’s fathers. She clarified, “I departed from each of them as I stand up for myself and don’t tolerate disrespect.

In Indiana, the couple, consisting of Jade Cline and Sean Austin, have experienced a series of highs and lows since the birth of their daughter Kloie in 2017. However, in January 2022, Jade hinted to fans that things were looking up for them.

In a conversation with TopMob News, she shared that significant events occurred in our lives, and there have been substantial changes and advancements for Sean personally and in his future as well. She expressed great pride in him and their current situation. Eight months later, they revealed their engagement and tied the knot in October 2023.

In 2024, Jade confided in TopMob News that her relationship isn’t flawless all the time, but she added, “We have strong feelings for one another and manage to keep things going.

In the private setting, Californians Ashley Jones and Bar Smith exchanged vows back in 2021. This union took place four years following the birth of their child, Holly.

But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024. 

Following the birth of Nova in 2011 between MTV’s 16 and Pregnant star Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin II, there were signs that they might rekindle their relationship.

In present times, Briana shared with TopMob News in 2024 that she desires a mature, grown man, rather than the young men she had been accustomed to dating in the past.
