Teen Motocross Racer Aidan Zingg’s Cause of Death Revealed

More information has come to light about Aidan Zingg’s tragic death.

Approximately two weeks after the tragic passing of the motocross racer, Aidan, at the age of 16 due to a mid-race accident, his mother Shari Zingg shared with USA Today that the medical examiner’s official cause of death was cardiac tamponade.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, this health issue arises when the sac surrounding the heart becomes excessively filled with fluid, causing trouble for the heart to effectively pump blood. If not addressed promptly, usually via surgery or drainage with a needle, this condition could prove fatal.

As reported by USA Today, the Mono County Sheriff’s Office is currently performing an autopsy on Aidan. However, Public Information Officer Sarah Roberts informed the outlet that they do not have any information to disclose at this time. She further stated, “The family may actually possess more details than we do.

TopMob News reached out to the Sherriff’s Office for comment but has not yet heard back.

On June 28, Aidan suffered an accident while racing at Mammoth Lakes, California. As reported by Dirtbikelover, during the competition, Aidan fell in a turn and was unintentionally run over by several motorcycles. He remained unconscious on the track for two laps before the race had to be stopped due to the red flag. It seems that he was not involved in a collision while airborne.

Aidan’s sister Alexandria Zingg shared a heartbreaking tribute to her late brother.

Yesterday felt like an eternity for me,” the 18-year-old posted on Instagram, June 29. “My heart is shattered. You used to tease me about my age and saying I’d pass away first, while I would always playfully argue that you were insane and it would be you who’d go first. Now here I am, yearning deep within me for your prediction to come true, so I could avoid a single day without you.

Alexandria expressed, “I’m at a loss as to what my present, future, or entire life might hold without you by my side. I had all my plans set. It seems God had other ideas. I will always yearn for that final embrace, that last ‘I love you’ that I didn’t get. You are a beacon. The radiance in every hue of my world.

After the sad demise of the young motocross athlete, many members of the community expressed their sorrow. Among them was journalist Donn Maeda, who described Aidan as one of those children who left a lasting impact the instant they were encountered.

Years ago, I interviewed him for our racing series, and when I inquired about when he would surpass his father, he gave me a smirk and replied, ‘Soon, I’m sure.’ Ever since then, he has made an effort to greet me, even as he became a successful motorcycle rider…you know; the age where teens tend to become arrogant and aloof. However, that wasn’t Aidan.

Adding well wishes to Aidan’s family, Donn added, “Rest easy, buddy.”

It feels like an eternity has passed since yesterday,” the 18-year-old posted on Instagram, June 29th. “My heart is shattered into pieces. You’d often tease me about my supposed old age and that I would die first, while I’d always laugh it off, calling you crazy. Now, here I am, yearning deep within me for the day when your jest might have been true, so I wouldn’t ever have to spend a single moment without you.

Alexandria expressed, “I’m clueless about what tomorrow, the next day, or the remainder of my life will be like without you here. I had everything mapped out. Yet, it seems God had other arrangements. I’ll always yearn for that final embrace, that last ‘I love you,’ which I didn’t receive. You are a beacon. The brilliance that brings out every color in my world.
