Bandai Namco has revealed the first complete gameplay trailer for Miary Zo, a new character from Madagascar joining Tekken 8. Players with the Season 2 Character Pass will be able to play as her starting December 1st.
Everyone else will get access to the character from 4th December.
Miary, fittingly inspired by her Malagasy heritage, draws a lot of her abilities from the animal kingdom. The gameplay reveal begins calmly enough, but quickly escalates to her conjuring a magical hydra on her arm.
The trailer also showed players can jump off walls to extend combos and create new ways to attack.

The character’s fighting style takes inspiration from Moraingy, a traditional martial art from Madagascar. Elements of other African fighting styles are also included.
The new performer will be joined on stage by a vibrant backdrop called Baobab Horizon, depicting a sunset over a watering hole.
Honestly, Miary’s character design didn’t really grab me – she feels pretty standard for a fighting game, you know, the usual. But I’m definitely intrigued by what I’ve seen of her moves so far, and I get the feeling she’ll be a blast to play as!
And with that, the Season 2 Character Pass is now complete. While Armor King was a hit, overall the pass received a somewhat mixed reaction from players.
