Here’s an update on Ten Pound Poms, the BBC series with Michelle Keegan, Faye Marsay, and Warren Brown. Sadly, the news isn’t what viewers wanted to hear.
The BBC has announced that the show will not be renewed for a third season, following the broadcast of its second season earlier in the year.
A BBC spokesperson shared the news with The Sun, stating: “It’s been a pleasure bringing the story of the Ten Pound Poms to BBC viewers, and we are very thankful to Danny Brocklehurst, Eleven, and everyone involved in making the series.”
The show centered around a group of British people who moved to Australia in 1956. They had been offered a new life for only £10, but quickly discovered that reality didn’t match their expectations.

Before season 2 was released, Keegan mentioned she’d be willing to appear in a third season. However, she explained that filming would need to be postponed because she was pregnant and expecting her first child, who arrived in March of this year.
I feel really comfortable and safe with Michelle and Warren [Brown], so even though it’s quite a distance, they’re a lovely group of people. I’d definitely be willing to do it if others are interested, but we haven’t made any plans yet.
You can currently watch Keegan in the seventh and last season of Brassic. The cast has hinted that viewers will be quite upset with how the series concludes, saying fans will be “furious”.
Cardi star Tom Hanson explained that while the team will be very upset, they’ll ultimately enjoy it. Meanwhile, Tommo star Ryan Sampson hinted: “It’s quite disturbing. The final episode is much darker and more intense than anything we’ve created previously.”
“So I’ll be keen to see what people think of it.”
