Terminator: Survivors delayed to unannounced date, no longer an Early Access title

Nacon has pushed back the release of Terminator: Survivors from its original 2025 target. The game is now expected to launch at a later, unconfirmed date and will no longer be released as an Early Access title. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam.

Dear Survivors,

As 2025 draws to a close, we wanted to give you an update. Thank you for your patience! We’ve been working hard this year and have made significant progress in all areas of the game, including the world, combat, story, and overall feel.

With Terminator: Survivors, we’ve always wanted to create a truly realistic and engaging open-world Terminator game. We want players to feel what it was like during Skynet’s rise and see how humanity fought back and survived.

Okay, so picture this: I’m dropped into a seriously messed up world, and everything is trying to kill me. Seriously, just seeing those red eyes of a Terminator in the distance means I need to haul butt and find somewhere to hide, or it’s game over. I’m scavenging for supplies, battling the very first Terminator models Skynet threw at us, and trying to help rebuild the resistance. This isn’t just running and gunning; it’s a desperate struggle to survive and save humanity. I’m right there at the beginning, seeing the fight against the machines unfold through my own eyes.

We’ve spent months testing and talking with players about how to make a truly immersive Terminator game with great shooting and exploration. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to focus on a single-player experience and won’t be including cooperative multiplayer. We understand this might be disappointing, but we believe this change will allow us to deliver the best possible vision for a world after Judgment Day.

We’ve changed our plans for releasing the game. Instead of launching as an Early Access title, we want your first experience in the game world to be fully finished and refined. This means Terminator: Survivors won’t be available in 2025. We don’t have a new release date yet, but we’ll share one as soon as it’s confirmed.

Your feedback is really important to us as we continue to improve the game, so we’ll be holding some private playtests (with a non-disclosure agreement) as we get closer to launch. If you’d like to participate and help us make Terminator: Survivors the best it can be, you can sign up here.
