While fans are eagerly awaiting the last episode of Good Omens, it’s a good time to look ahead to the sequel of The Amazing Maurice. The Amazing Maurice – The Waters of Life is scheduled for release in 2027, and many are wondering which actors will return for the animated film. Variety reports that several original cast members will reprise their roles, including Hugh Laurie as Maurice himself.
‘The Amazing Maurice – The Waters of Life’s Confirmed Voice Cast
Emilia Clarke will be back as Malicia, and Laurie will also return. Joining them are Hamish Patel as Keith, an orphaned musician, and Gemma Arterton as Peaches the rodent. Fans will be thrilled to see David Tennant reprise his role as Dangerous Beans! Although some familiar faces, like Hugh Bonneville as the Mayor, haven’t been confirmed yet, there’s still a chance they’ll be announced later.
But there are many other well-known actors and actresses lending their voices to The Waters of Life. Adjoa Andoh, who worked with David Tennant on Doctor Who and is famous for playing Lady Danbury in the TV series Bridgerton, will voice the character of Admiral Katz, a pirate cat. Peter Serafinowicz, known for Guardians of the Galaxy, and Simon Callow, from Four Weddings and a Funeral, are also joining the cast as Death and Werewolf, respectively.

The movie The Amazing Maurice earned over $24 million around the world. As of February 2026, it has a 73% approval rating and a 68% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The team behind The Amazing Maurice quickly developed a sequel, which is impressive considering how long animated films usually take to produce. While it’s uncertain if The Waters of Life will be as popular as the first movie, there’s reason to believe it could be even more successful. Viewers will have to wait until next year to see how it performs.
