Tesla moves entire $765M Bitcoin stash to unknown wallets

As a researcher with a background in both traditional finance and cryptocurrencies, I find Tesla’s recent move to transfer its Bitcoin stash intriguing. Given my past experiences tracking market trends, it’s not uncommon for companies to make strategic decisions regarding their investments. However, the suddenness of this transaction raises questions about potential insider information or an impending market shift.

In simpler terms, Tesla, a company that produces electric vehicles, moved approximately $765 million worth of Bitcoin it held, into various unidentified digital wallets.

It’s reported by Arkham Intelligence that crypto wallets identified as belonging to Tesla transferred approximately all of its 11,500 Bitcoins (BTC) on October 15, spread across 26 transactions, including test transfers.

On October 15th, at 8:41 PM UTC, the initial transaction of Bitcoin was carried out, and presently, the wallet contains approximately 6.68 dollars’ worth of Bitcoin.

Tesla’s Bitcoin wallet had been dormant since June 17, 2022, before the sudden batch of transfers.

These specific wallet addresses – “1MGM8,” “1E8E3,” “1Phab” and “1QC2z” – currently contain a significant portion of Bitcoins that were recently withdrawn from Tesla’s digital wallet.
