
Teyana Taylor didn’t want her family fighting over who would get to attend the Oscars.
Actress Allās Fair, nominated for an Oscar this year for her role in One Battle After Another, found herself in an awkward situation. Both her grandmother and her mother, Nikki Taylor, requested to be her date to the Academy Awards.
She confessed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on February 25th that deciding who to invite was a bit tricky. Fortunately, she was able to find a solution that pleased everyone involved.
Teyana said she didn’t want to be around the commotion, so she bought tickets for everyone instead. She made sure both of them had tickets.
On March 15th, Teyanna, 35, plans to bring her grandmother and mother to the awards show. Her co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, who is nominated for Best Actor, will also be there, along with Paul Thomas Anderson, the director, writer, and producer of their thriller.
Although her family is relieved to avoid this conflict, Teyana feels incredibly grateful, saying the experience exceeded all her expectations and felt like a dream come true.

She expressed deep emotion, humility, and gratitude for everyone who has supported her, stating after the nominations were announced on January 22nd that she was honored to be recognized alongside the other incredible women in her category.
