The Guardians of the Galaxy from Marvel Comics are dedicated to protecting the universe from dangerous alien forces. Thanks to these powerful protectors, the galaxy is shielded from villains who want to destroy or take it over.

10) Quasar

Wendell Vaughn transformed into the hero Quasar when he received the Quantum Bands from Eon, a powerful cosmic entity. These bands designated him as the official protector of the universe. As a major galactic hero, Quasar later joined the Guardians of the Galaxy to help them face growing threats. The Quantum Bands give him the ability to control all types of energy, allowing him to unleash energy blasts and create solid objects like weapons, shields, and protective armor. Richard Rider, also known as Nova, is an intergalactic police officer with the Nova Corps and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He fights to protect the universe from threats like Thanos and other powerful enemies. Nova gets his superpowers – including super strength, flight, and energy blasts – from the Nova Force, a cosmic energy source originally shared by all Nova Corps members. Eventually, Richard became Nova-Prime, meaning he became the sole host of the entire Nova Force. As Nova-Prime, his power rivals that of heroes like Silver Surfer, allowing him to defeat incredibly strong villains such as Ego and Annihilus, and even survive an attack from Galactus.

After traveling through time repeatedly, he ended up on Earth and became a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. This version of the Punisher is a terrifying being who can create hellfire, fire energy blasts, and travel vast distances instantly. He’s even powerful enough to have turned Thanos into a skull and wiped out all the Marvel heroes in one alternate reality. Because of his immense power, he has to constantly restrain himself to avoid accidentally destroying planets.
