Wow, ARC Raiders is a huge hit! As a fan, I’m not surprised, but 4 million copies sold in just two weeks is amazing, especially for a brand new game! It launched on October 30, 2025, and it feels like everyone’s playing. I can’t wait to see what Embark Studios does with it next – the future looks bright!
Attention Raiders! We’re preparing for an expedition to Stella Montis, but we need your help! Embark Studios has kicked off a November community event called “Breaking New Ground,” and we’re asking for material donations to get us there.
Under the town of Speranza lies a large system of tunnels, though some sections have been deliberately blocked. But with enough creativity and hard work, these hidden areas can be rediscovered. Will you help Speranza restore the tunnels and reconnect the lost passages?
Players can help rebuild the tunnels by donating materials like metal, fabric, chemicals, rubber, and plastic. Each donation of 5 materials will earn a Raider 5 Merits, allowing them to make progress.
Merits are a new type of currency players can earn and use during the second phase of the “Staking Our Claim” event. While you can earn up to 900 Merits, collecting extra materials will still contribute to your progress.
As an analyst, I’ve been tracking the recent Embark event, and it’s clear that players were accumulating resources at an unexpectedly high rate. This rapid progress – reaching 14% completion in only a few hours – prompted Embark to adjust the progression system. Their goal was to broaden participation and allow more players to contribute and earn Merits, essentially slowing things down to make the event accessible to a wider audience.
As of 1:00 PM Central Time, the community is 9% of the way toward its goal. I’ve already donated everything I can and am now sending any extra materials I find to help.
The ARC Raiders community is hilariously kind
This morning, I checked out the event and immediately donated most of my resources before joining a game. That’s where I encountered someone who truly stood out as a leading member of the ARC Raider community.
A player nicknamed “Fent_Daddy” was loudly offering valuable items in exchange for any materials other players had. He was actively seeking trades and offering Epic-level loot.
He traded me a Torro II blueprint, a Wolfpack Grenade, and Exodus Modules for just 40 bits of scrap. I was completely shocked – I couldn’t believe he actually did it!
The enthusiastic support for this cause reminds many of the close-knit Helldivers 2 community. It appears the ARC Raiders team – or at least the positive members – are just as dedicated to achieving their goals.
I wanted to help others, so I gathered another 400 materials and shared them with fellow Raiders, hoping they’d donate and meet their Merit goals. I encourage everyone playing solo to do the same – be kind, respectful, and let’s work together to open that tunnel!
New Map, New Gear, New ARC
Let’s start by discussing the new map, Stella Montis. As detailed in the recent Embark news post:
Hidden high in the northern mountains, Stella Montis is an abandoned facility that draws explorers despite its remote location. Unlike the heavily damaged ruins in the Rust Belt below, Stella Montis remains surprisingly intact. The cold, sterile environment suggests a glimpse into humanity’s past and its ambition to reach for the stars.
After the tunnels to Stella Montis are restored, the “Staking Our Claim” event will begin, introducing a new set of challenges and rewards. Players will have until December to complete them.
Raiders will find new gear, items, schematics, and even ARC on the map. These include:
- New ARC:
- Matriarch
- Shredder
- New Weapon and Gameplay Items:
- New legendary weapon
- Three new mines
- Two new grenades
The Shredder will test players in tight spaces on the new map, quickly forcing them into action. The Matriarch, known as the Mother of all Queens, is a rare enemy that appears only under certain conditions on the map. So far, no one has found the Matriarch on the Blue Ridge map, but many believe it will only appear once the tunnel is opened.
To help wrap things up, we’re adding a new set of quests focused on Stella Montis. Completing these quests will give Raiders extra rewards, including gear and blueprints, so be sure to check them out when they become available!
In a little over two weeks, a new event called “Flickering Flames” is coming! It will introduce a new snowy map condition, reset the Expedition Project Raider, and include other exciting features.
