The Beauty’s Evan Peters, Rebecca Hall React to Bella Hadid’s Role

There is a beauty in Bella Hadid‘s shift from model to actress.

Three years after first appearing as an actress, the fashion icon is starring in a new horror series called The Beauty on FX. The show is created by Ryan Murphy and is based on the comic book series of the same name by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley.

As someone who’s followed this project closely, let me tell you, Evan Peters and Rebecca Hall both raved about the actress playing Ruby. She was phenomenal! Ruby’s a really compelling character – she’s dealing with a dangerous infection that, strangely enough, makes people more beautiful, but it’s ultimately fatal. They said she brought so much to the role, it was truly incredible to watch.

Rebecca, 43, described Bella’s performance as captivating and intentionally attention-grabbing in a recent interview with Will Marfuggi of TopMob News. She said it was ‘amazingly watchable’.

Evan, 38, said he doesn’t have any favorite guest stars, but he thought the 29-year-old actress did a fantastic job in her action-packed scene.

The film The Beauty really challenged its talented cast, including Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope, and Isabella Rossellini. Director Evan even found himself blending several different genres to tell the story.

He described the show as a quirky mix of science fiction, satire, body horror, and action, while Rebecca just called it completely over-the-top.

Having collaborated with Ryan on previous projects—Evan on American Horror Story and Rebecca on the upcoming Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story—they were excited to work with him again on The Beauty when he presented them with the opportunity.

Rebecca explained that she constantly challenges herself by exploring new and unexpected things. She enjoys keeping herself surprised and discovering what she’s capable of.

Evan is soon heading back for the thirteenth season of AHS, and he describes Ryan as a fantastic person to work with.

Despite having a clear idea of what he wants, he’s open to suggestions and trying new things, which is really what makes his approach so effective.

The Beauty premieres with three episodes on Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on Hulu and 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX.

While Martin is capable of solving any medical problem, he mostly just wants to be left alone. But he keeps getting pulled into the personal dramas, conflicts, and imaginations of the townspeople. Unbeknownst to them, Martin’s gruffness hides a new, crippling phobia and past trauma that make it hard for him to connect with others. Luckily, the determined people of this tight-knit community might be exactly what he needs.
