There are tons of options for Halloween couples’ costumes, from timeless classics to current trends inspired by pop culture. You can always find something fun and recognizable to wear each year!
On the October 31st episode of Live! With Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos playfully referenced the popular show Love Island. Instead of wearing revealing swimwear, the couple wore T-shirts printed with images of bikinis and muscular bodies, keeping their tribute lighthearted and appropriate for daytime television.
Some couples look to classic movies for relationship inspiration. For example, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have recreated iconic scenes from films like Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, and The Royal Tenenbaums. Other celebrities seem inspired by each other – in 2019, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka looked remarkably like the Olsen twins, and Ciara and Russell Wilson famously channeled Beyoncé and Jay-Z with a playful “Ape St” themed look.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are famous for their elaborate couples costumes. In 2021, they went all out, starting with a spooky take on punk rocker Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. They continued with the characters of Sid and Alabama from the movie True Romance, played by Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette, and finished the week dressed as Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder’s characters, Edward Scissorhands and Kim Boggs.
It’s adorable that Heidi Klum has found a partner who loves Halloween as much as she does! In 2018, she and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, went as Fiona and Shrek, disguising themselves completely. But their 2024 costumes were even more elaborate – they dressed up as E.T. for Klum’s yearly Halloween party.
The host of Project Runway told TopMob News at the event that it took a full year of preparation. On the day itself, they explained, “We began getting ready at 10 a.m. this morning and just finished coming downstairs.”
