The Best LEGO Sets of 2025

LEGO is starting 2026 strong with a bunch of new sets launching in January, including the Back to the Future Time Machine and the LEGO Icons Stranger Things: The Creel House. But before looking ahead, let’s remember some of the most popular LEGO sets from 2025.

This year was packed with exciting LEGO releases! We saw incredible sets like the largest and most expensive Star Wars LEGO set ever created, a retro Game Boy replica, and a new Jack Sparrow pirate ship from Pirates of the Caribbean. LEGO launched around 1000 new sets in total, but we’ve picked out our favorites. Plus, buying directly from LEGO gets you bonus gifts and rewards points.

Our Favorite LEGO Sets of 2025

The LEGO Icons Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (set number 10356), priced at $399.99, launched on November 28, 2025, and was incredibly popular, quickly selling out. This is the first large-scale LEGO set based on the Star Trek universe – specifically, The Next Generation. The impressive 3,600-piece set features a detachable saucer section, an opening shuttlebay with two shuttlepods, and includes minifigures of the entire Next Generation bridge crew: Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Data, Worf, Geordi, Dr. Crusher, Troi, Wesley Crusher, and Guinan.

The LEGO Star Wars UCS Death Star (75419), priced at $999.99 and releasing October 1, 2025, has generated some discussion – particularly about its design and cost. However, it’s impossible to ignore as LEGO’s largest and most expensive Star Wars set ever created. With over 9,000 pieces, the set recreates key scenes from the iconic space station, including the Superlaser control room, trash compactor, Imperial boardroom, Princess Leia’s cell, and the Emperor’s throne room. It also features a hangar bay with a Lambda-class shuttle, and comes with an impressive 38 minifigures to bring the scenes to life.



The LEGO DC Batman Arkham Asylum set (76300), priced at $299.99 and releasing September 9, 2025, is a detailed 2,953-piece model of the infamous asylum. It’s designed with three sections – the first floor, second floor, and roof – and features interactive elements like working prison cells and a delivery van. The set includes 65 stickers and 16 minifigures: Batman, Batwoman, Batwing, Robin, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Bane, The Joker, The Penguin, Killer Croc, and two security guards. Many fans consider it one of the best LEGO DC sets ever made.

The LEGO Harry Potter Hogsmeade Village Collector’s Edition (set number 76457), priced at $399.99 and releasing on September 1, 2025, is a detailed, 3,228-piece set recreating the wintery shops of Hogsmeade Village. It features seven buildings, including the first-ever LEGO versions of Zonko’s Joke Shop and the Hog’s Head pub, alongside Honeydukes, Scrivenshaft’s Quill Shop, Dervish and Banges, The Three Broomsticks, and The Owl Post. The set includes 12 minifigures: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Horace Slughorn, Madam Rosmerta, Mrs. Flume, Katie Bell, Draco Malfoy, Professor McGonagall, Cornelius Fudge, Aberforth Dumbledore, and a shop employee, as well as a horse and carriage.

As a longtime collector, I have to say LEGO really delivered with the Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship (75409). Dropping just in time for May the 4th, this Ultimate Collector Series set is a fantastic recreation of the ship from the Star Wars universe. What I really appreciate is the detailed interior and all the moving parts – the entrance, blasters, even the seismic charges. It’s great that you can display it either landing or in flight thanks to the included stand. Plus, you get Jango Fett and a Young Boba Fett minifigure! Be warned, though – this isn’t a beginner’s build. You’ll need some experience to tackle this one, but trust me, it’s worth the effort. I’ve seen a review of it already, and it looks amazing.

As a huge fan of LEGO and One Piece, I’m absolutely thrilled about the Baratie Floating Restaurant set! I already love building ships with LEGO, and the One Piece theme delivers with the fantastic Going Merry, but this set is something special. It’s a massive 3,402-piece build of the iconic fish-shaped restaurant, and it’s incredible. What really excites me is the pier – it lets you dock the Going Merry and even recreate that intense fight between Zoro and Mihawk! Plus, it comes with ten minifigures – all the Straw Hat Pirates, plus Zeff, Vice Admiral Garp, Helmeppo, Koby, and Dracule Mihawk. They’ve even included five collectible “Wanted” posters, which is a really cool touch. It’s launching on August 1st, 2025, and will cost $329.99, and I already know I need it!

The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower (set #76454), priced at $259.99 and releasing on June 1, 2025, is a significant addition to the modular Hogwarts collection. This 2,135-piece set lets you build the central tower and courtyard, and includes 12 minifigures like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Albus Dumbledore. It also features animal companions such as Fluffy, Hedwig, and Fawkes. You can find a full review of the build here.

The LEGO Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine (21358), available June 1, 2025 for $179.99, is a unique and creative set that stands out from typical licensed LEGO builds. This retro-style vending machine, made from 1,343 pieces, actually works! It uses a coin mechanism to dispense capsules, each containing the parts to build a collectible minifigure. The set includes minifigures inspired by classic LEGO themes like Castle, Paradisa, and Fabuland, as well as figures from the Classic Space line – some of which were chosen by LEGO fans in a poll. It even features a minifigure of Rob Vangansewinkel, the LEGO fan who designed this clever set.
