Christopher Summers, a skilled pilot, was enjoying a family flight when their plane was attacked by the Shi’Ar. His sons, Scott and Alex, managed to escape with the only parachute, but Christopher and his wife were captured. Tragically, their unborn child was also taken from his mother. Christopher was forced into slavery but later broke free, becoming a space pirate known as Corsair and joining the Starjammers. Since then, he’s been largely absent from his sons’ lives, remaining in space and focused on piracy. Though distant, his absence has profoundly shaped his family, and he reappears sporadically, only to vanish again after a few years.

9) Vulcan

Vulcan was essentially a baby removed from his mother’s womb and artificially aged. He was then enslaved and taken to a hidden Shi’Ar base on Earth, but managed to escape once he learned to control his immense energy powers.
