That means Valve has fully tested it on the Deck and confirmed it plays perfectly, right out of the box – no messing with settings needed. It’s a little weird it wasn’t verified at launch, but honestly, it’s pretty normal for games to get Deck support added after they release. It actually happens more often that way!
Players with Steam Deck can now fully experience Embark Studios’ Arc Raiders. While the game was playable on the handheld before, it’s now officially verified by Valve. Arc Raiders is currently the best-selling game on Steam, having held the top spot since its release on October 30th. It’s currently outselling popular titles like Where Winds Meet, Battlefield 6, Counter-Strike 2, and Dispatch.

In the last day, Arc Raiders reached a peak of over 348,000 players on Steam, with its all-time high being nearly 482,000. This makes it the 25th most popular game ever on Steam based on concurrent players. Considering how many free games are also on the platform, Arc Raiders‘ performance is even more impressive. The developers at Embark Studios initially thought about making the game free, but ultimately decided to sell it for $40.

If you haven’t heard of Arc Raiders, it’s an online game where you team up with friends (or play alone) to scavenge for resources. The game is set in a future where machines have taken over the Earth, forcing people to live underground. As a player, you venture to the surface to collect what’s left.
Arc Raiders is quickly becoming a hit with players and critics alike. On Steam, it boasts an impressive 89% approval rating based on over 72,000 reviews, earning it a “Very Positive” designation. This is the second-highest rating a game can receive on the platform, just a small margin away from the top “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating.
