The Biggest Shonen Anime Event of The Year Has Revealed Its Schedule (And a Major Anime is Missing)

Each year, Jump Festa shares updates and future plans for many popular anime series. So far, this has included titles like My Hero Academia, One Piece, and countless others that would be too many to list here. The event is happening this December in Japan, and fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to discover more about their beloved anime universes. However, one major anime that started in Weekly Shonen Jump is surprisingly not on the list, and you might be surprised to find out which one it is.

Let’s kick things off with the main event of Jump Festa 2026, the Jump Super Stage. As soon as we announce which anime series will be featured, we’ll reveal a major shonen franchise that won’t be present – and it might be a big surprise! Here’s the schedule for the two biggest days of this year’s Jump Festa: Get ready!

Saturday, December 20th

  • My Hero Academia
  • Gintama
  • Jujutsu Kaisen
  • Oblivion Battery
  • Blue Exorcist
  • Kaiju No. 8
  • New Prince of Tennis
  • World Trigger
  • Sakamoto Days

Sunday, December 21st

  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Where’s Dragon Ball?

Many fans are asking about Goku and the Z-Fighters, and you’re not the only one curious. With the release of Dragon Ball Daima this year and the final chapter of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Super manga, people have been eagerly awaiting news about the series. This doesn’t necessarily mean Dragon Ball won’t be involved in future events, but its absence from the upcoming Jump Festa is a bit worrying. Although there have been suggestions that the Dragon Ball Super manga might continue with artist Toyotaro, nothing is confirmed yet.

Previously, the Dragon Ball series concluded the Z-Fighters’ adventure in the Demon Realm with Dragon Ball Daima . This happened after Vegeta achieved Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan 4 was officially made part of the shonen franchise’s story. If the Dragon Ball Super manga returns, it will be fascinating to see whether aspects of the Demon Realm are incorporated.

Jump Festa’s Other Big Plans

Good news! The main stage isn’t the only place to experience anime at the upcoming Jump Festa.
