The creators of “The Boys” have never shied away from tackling sensitive subjects, and their latest social media post about President Donald Trump has left some viewers taken aback. On Monday, the Vought International accounts shared an image of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and Crimson Countess (Laurie Holden), with a caption mimicking Trump’s social media tone. This post drew a comparison between the “Herogasm” scandal in the show and the real-life accusations against Jeffrey Epstein concerning human trafficking and sexual abuse. While many found this parallel relevant, others felt it was a bit too timely given recent events.
Contrary to some rumors circulating, Vought wants to clarify that there was no ‘Herogasm’ event involving our superheroes. There are no records or lists of attendees such as Soldier Boy, Liberty, and Deep. The notion that Soldier Boy, who is seen here with his beloved, would arrange annual excesses is preposterous.
In a subtle yet obvious reference to Donald Trump, the post employs sporadic capital letters and catchphrases such as “fake news,” while the term “Herogasm Files” appears to be connected to the widely discussed “Epstein files.” Elon Musk is believed to have coined the collective term for documents related to Epstein’s case, suggesting that the Trump administration should disclose all relevant information to quell speculations about any potential conspiracy or cover-up.
In the third season of “The Boys,” a theory called “Orgy Island” is revealed as factual. This clandestine event brings together powerful superheroes who engage in uninhibited sexual activities and drug use on a private island. Originating from the graphic novels penned by Garth Ennis with illustrations by John McCrea, this concept eerily resembles the accusations against Jeffrey Epstein. The financier was accused of coercing young individuals into prostitution on his personal island, and enticing other affluent and influential figures to join him there. Last week, the Trump administration stated that they have found no records of a “client list” during their investigation of Epstein, nor any proof that he was killed in prison to conceal his misdeeds.
From its inception, “The Boys” hasn’t been shy about mirroring real-world events, given its inherently political narrative. Last season, the series employed the not-so-subtle phrases “Make America Super Again” and “Supe Lives Matter,” which were clear references to certain political movements. The producers of the show have consistently stated that they intentionally include political messages in their content, and these allusions to real-life stories are far from coincidental. Last summer, showrunner Eric Kripke told Forbes, “The show is many things, but subtle isn’t one of them.
Currently, the fifth season of “The Boys” is being filmed, with a projected release date somewhere in 2026; however, the specific launch date remains undecided as of now. Meanwhile, you can catch up on the earlier seasons that are available for streaming right now on Amazon Prime Video.
